Do some Ḥanafī scholars also consider eight rakʿāt of Tarāwīḥ to be Sunnah?
✿ Answer:
Yes, several Ḥanafī scholars have written that eight rakʿāt of Tarāwīḥ are Sunnah.
❀ Mawlānā ʿAbd al-Shakūr Fārūqī Lakhnawī writes:
”Although eight rakʿāt of Tarāwīḥ are Sunnah from the Prophet ﷺ, and in one weak narration, there is mention of twenty rakʿāt from Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما.“
