Defending Faith Is “Intolerance” But Politics Is Sacred?

❀ Criticizing Religion Is Easy, But Silence on National Issues Prevails ❀

❖ Criticism of Religion: A Convenient Target

In today’s era, it has become commonplace to criticize the core tenets of religion, including the Prophets (عليهم السلام), the Sahabah (رضي الله عنهم), and even the Essence of Allah (جل جلاله).

✔ Such objections often go unnoticed, and media platforms seldom react.
✔ In contrast, criticism of national ideologies or political figures sparks outrage, backlash, and aggressive responses.

❖ National Sensitivities vs. Religious Reverence

◉ In the modern social fabric:

✔ Defending national or political causes is seen as responsible activism,
✔ But defending Islamic beliefs is dismissed as “rigid religiosity” or “fatwā-throwing.”

✔ Speaking against state narratives is termed as freedom of speech,
✔ But refuting blasphemy or heresy is painted as “intolerance” or “extremism.”

❖ Humanism and the Shift in Social Consciousness

We live in an age where human beings have been positioned as the ultimate authority — a worldview known as Humanism.

◉ The role of God has been deliberately removed from societal discourse, education, and ethical systems — may Allah protect us.

◉ Humanism is no longer just a philosophy — it has become a way of life, embedded in curricula, cultural norms, and public response mechanisms.

❖ Social Exclusion of Religion

✔ Long before the exclusion of Shari‘ah from governance, religion was gradually removed from minds and hearts.
✔ The crisis today is not only structural, but intellectual and spiritual.

◉ The real battlefield now is:

— Belief systems,
— Moral behavior, and
— Social consciousness,

Not merely political change.

❖ Religious Affection Still Exists – But It Needs Awakening

✔ Despite these trends, society still harbors love for Islam.
✔ But what’s needed is a strong intellectual and ideological revival that boldly distinguishes between Truth and Falsehood, Īmān and Kufr.

If such a movement does not emerge:

❌ Future generations may face a steeper ideological crisis.
❌ Religion may become even more irrelevant and ridiculed.

❖ Duty of the Righteous (Ahl al-Ḥaqq)

✔ It is incumbent upon scholars, callers to Islam, and people of conscience to form a robust ideological front against social secularism.
✔ The difference between faith and disbelief must be clearly highlighted and defended.

✔ If this front is not established:

— Dīnī consciousness will continue to erode,
— And society will fall deeper into spiritual apathy.

History has proven that the Ummah’s spirit of resistance has always existed.
What is needed now is simply:

❝To take the first step.❞
