Instructions Regarding Narrating the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
“May Allah keep fresh the face of the person who hears something from us and then conveys it exactly as he heard it. Often, the one to whom the matter is conveyed guards it more carefully than the listener.”
② Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As رضي الله عنه narrates that the Noble Prophet ﷺ said:
“Convey from me even if it is one verse. Narrating from the Children of Israel is not harmful. Whoever deliberately lies upon me, let him prepare his place in Hell.”
The Virtue of Listening to the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
“May Allah keep happy the person who hears something from us and then conveys it exactly as he heard it. Often, the one to whom the message is conveyed is more careful in preserving it than the original listener.”
“You hear and you are heard, and the one who hears from you is also heard.”
Instructions Regarding Good Sunnah
① Syedna Jarir رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
“Whoever introduces a good Sunnah in Islam will have its reward, and then whoever acts upon it will also have a reward, and their rewards will not be diminished in any way. And whoever introduces a bad practice in Islam will bear its burden and sin, and then whoever acts upon it will also bear its burden and sin, and their sins will not be diminished in any way.”
