These clerics — truly a strange breed! You could search the depths of their souls and still not find a trace of what modern minds call “morality.” When it comes to dropping a girl home, it’s always the modern, educated gentlemen stepping up — never these uncouth, backward-looking maulvis. After all, when have they ever had the “honor” of serving someone’s mother or sister in such a noble way?
❖ Who Fuels the Night?
Look around — all those night packages from mobile companies? Entirely driven by our cultured and highly educated youth. These young men are apparently incapable of doing anything that benefits society, but when it comes to keeping the networks alive through late-night conversations, they are unmatched!
❖ Have Some Shame… or Maybe Not?
Come on now, have you ever even considered going to a cinema or a theater? Why is it always the mosque or pulpit that you orbit around? The Creator has adorned the world with breathtaking sculptures of semi-nude beauty — are these sights created merely for animals? If men don’t gaze at them, then what’s the point of such delicate glass figures?
❖ Dressed in Yesterday’s Fashion
You reside in the stronghold of outdated values, and your fashion sense? Equally ancient. You never see these men with a wine shandy or a bottle of vodka in hand. No sir — just a tooth-stick in the mouth and trousers rolled above the ankles.
Meanwhile, today’s fashion is something else entirely — a cigarette hanging from the lips, long mustaches, trimmed beard, and trousers dragging on the ground. Apparently, that’s wisdom now!
❖ Respect for Teachers? How Backward!
These maulvis treat their teachers with a reverence as if they’ve descended from another realm. Come on! He’s just another human like you — what’s so special about him?
❖ Youth That Never Comes of Age
Meanwhile, parents continue to wish and pray that their sons would finally grow up and form relationships with someone’s daughter — but would these clerics ever mature in such a worldly sense? Not a chance.
❖ A Burning Heart’s Lament
It pains me to say, the educated elite have exhausted themselves trying to teach morality to these clerics — yet they remain stubborn, as if their ancestors had taken an oath to flee from all things ethical.
❖ A Plea to the Facebook Intellectuals
O wise ones of Facebook! For the love of God, try to teach these maulvis that “morality” is everything — without it, there is no joy in life, no vibrancy in society. And please, let go of this obsession with “honor” — it’s only you who still clings to it. The “learned and enlightened” have long since recited the funeral prayer over such outdated ideals.
