Answer:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
« إن أحق ما أخذتم عليه أجرا كتاب الله »
"The most rightful thing for which you can take a fee is the Book of Allah."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 5737)
Based on this Hadith, it is permissible for the one performing ruqyah (spiritual healing) with the Quran to take a fee or gift in return for their services. This is because the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) allowed those companions who had performed ruqyah on a person bitten by a snake to take a fee for their services. However, the fee is for the work and time spent, not for the Quran itself.
