Hadith 607
أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا اطَّلَعَ مِنْ حُجْرَةٍ مِنْ حُجَرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِي يَدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِدْرًى وَهُوَ يَحُكُّ بِهِ رَأْسَهُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَنْظُرُ لَطَعَنْتُ بِهِ فِي عَيْنِكَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الاسْتِئْذَانُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْبَصَرِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him): A man peeped through a hole into the room of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a comb in his hand with which he was scratching his head. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If I had known you were peeping, I would have poked your eye. Permission is prescribed for this reason, so that the gaze does not fall upon someone’s privacy.”
Hadith 608
أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَخَذَفْتَهُ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If someone peeks into your house without permission and you throw a pebble at him and put out his eye, there is no sin upon you."
Hadith 609
أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي بَيْتِهِ ، وَأَنَّ رَجُلا اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَهْوَى إِلَيْهِ بِمِشْقَصٍ كَانَ فِي يَدِهِ كَأَنَّهُ لَوْ لَمْ يَتَأَخَّرْ لَمْ يُبَالِ أَنْ يَطْعَنَهُ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in his house when a man peeped into his house. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, rushed towards him with the tip of an arrow that was in his hand. It seemed that if the man had not moved back, the Prophet would not have cared about piercing his eye.
Hadith 610
أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْخِيَارِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيِ النَّاسِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَارَّهُ لَمْ نَدْرِ مَا سَارَّهُ حَتَّى جَهَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ يَسْتَأْذِنُهُ فِي قَتْلِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ جَهَرَ : " أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ " فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَلا شَهَادَةَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَيْسَ يُصَلِّي ؟ " قَالَ : بَلَى وَلا صَلاةَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ نَهَانِيَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْهُمْ " .
Ubaidullah bin Adi bin Khiyar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting among the people when a man came and whispered something, but it was not known what he whispered until the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke loudly, and it became clear that he was seeking permission to kill a hypocrite. So when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his voice, he was saying: "Does he not recite the kalimah?" The man replied: "Of course, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but there is no value to his kalimah." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does he not pray?" The man said: "Of course, but there is no value to his prayer." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is these people whose killing Allah, the Exalted, has forbidden me."
Hadith 611
أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا أَزَالُ أُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، فَإِذَا قَالُوا لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلا بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I will continue to fight the people until they declare that there is no deity except Allah. When they say «لا اله الا الله», they will protect their blood and wealth from me except by its due right, and their reckoning will be with Allah, the Exalted."
