قَالَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى {وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ} [النساء: 12].
Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says: "And if a man or a woman whose inheritance is in question is kalalah (that is, has neither parents nor children), and has a brother or a sister, then for each one of them is a sixth; but if they are more than that, they share in a third." [Surah al-Nisa: 12]
