And it has reached us from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Mina is the resting place of whoever arrives (there) first."
And from Sayyiduna Asmar bin Mudarris (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever is first to something that no Muslim has reached before him, it is his." What is meant by this is reviving barren land.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise. Their faces will shine like the moon." Ukkashah bin Mihsan al-Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him), adjusting his cloak, said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Pray for me that Allah makes me one of them." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Make him one of them." Then a man of the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and also said: "Pray that Allah makes me one of them too." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ukkashah has beaten you to it."
