Hadith 2299
Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There is before you a Cistern and the distance between its two sides is as it is between Jarba' and Adhruh.

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn 'Umar and the words are: That he said there would be before you a Cistern extending from Jarba' and Adhruh and the same has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Muthanna and the wording is: "My Cistern."

'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There would be before you a Cistern (as extensive) as there is the distance between Jarba' and Adhruh and there would be jugs like stars in the sky; he who would come to that and drink from it would never feel thirsty after that.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُبَيٍّ ابْنُ سَلُولَ ، جَاءَ ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهُ ، قَمِيصَهُ أَنْ يُكَفِّنَ فِيهِ أَبَاهُ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ ، ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَامَ عُمَرُ ، فَأَخَذَ بِثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَتُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ نَهَاكَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّمَا خَيَّرَنِي اللَّهُ ، فَقَالَ : اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ ، أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ ، إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً ، وَسَأَزِيدُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُ مُنَافِقٌ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَلا تُصَلِّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَاتَ أَبَدًا وَلا تَقُمْ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ سورة التوبة آية 84 " .
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that when 'Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul (the hypocrite) died, his son'Abdullah bin'Abdullah came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon -him) and asked him to give his shirt which should be used for the coffin of his father. He gave that to him. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up to say prayer over him Thereupon I Umar caught hold of the clothe of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Allah's Messenger, are you going to offer prayer, whereas Allah has forbidden to offer prayer for him, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah has given me a choice saying: Ask forgiveness for them or you may not ask for them; even if you ask for them seventy times, I will make an addition to the seventy. He was a hypocrite and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said prayer over him that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed the verse:" And never pray over any one of them that has died and never should you stand by his grave" (ix. 84).
Hadith 2478
Ibn 'Umar reported: I saw in a state of sleep as if I have in my hand a piece of silk cloth and there is no place in the Paradise where I intend to reach but that piece of cloth does not fly towards it. I made a mention of it to Hafsa (the sister of Ibn 'Umar) and Hafsa made a mention of it to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) , whereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: I find 'Abdullah b 'Umar a pious person.
Hadith 2479
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported: I used to spend nights in the mosque and by that time I had no wife and children. I saw in a dream as if I am being taken to a well. I made a mention of it to Allah's Messenger (may peacebe upon him). The rest of the hadith is the same.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ يَتَمَشَّوْنَ أَخَذَهُمُ الْمَطَرُ ، فَأَوَوْا إِلَى غَارٍ فِي جَبَلٍ ، فَانْحَطَّتْ عَلَى فَمِ غَارِهِمْ صَخْرَةٌ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ ، فَانْطَبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ : انْظُرُوا أَعْمَالًا عَمِلْتُمُوهَا صَالِحَةً لِلَّهِ فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ تَعَالَى بِهَا لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يَفْرُجُهَا عَنْكُمْ ، فَقَالَ : أَحَدُهُمُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِي وَالِدَانِ شَيْخَانِ كَبِيرَانِ وَامْرَأَتِي وَلِي صِبْيَةٌ صِغَارٌ أَرْعَى عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَإِذَا أَرَحْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَلَبْتُ فَبَدَأْتُ بِوَالِدَيَّ ، فَسَقَيْتُهُمَا قَبْلَ بَنِيَّ ، وَأَنَّهُ نَأَى بِي ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ الشَّجَرُ ، فَلَمْ آتِ حَتَّى أَمْسَيْتُ فَوَجَدْتُهُمَا قَدْ نَامَا ، فَحَلَبْتُ كَمَا كُنْتُ أَحْلُبُ ، فَجِئْتُ بِالْحِلَابِ فَقُمْتُ عِنْدَ رُءُوسِهِمَا أَكْرَهُ أَنْ أُوقِظَهُمَا مِنْ نَوْمِهِمَا ، وَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَسْقِيَ الصِّبْيَةَ قَبْلَهُمَا وَالصِّبْيَةُ يَتَضَاغَوْنَ عِنْدَ قَدَمَيَّ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ ذَلِكَ دَأْبِي وَدَأْبَهُمْ حَتَّى طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ ، فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ ، فَافْرُجْ لَنَا مِنْهَا فُرْجَةً نَرَى مِنْهَا السَّمَاءَ ، فَفَرَجَ اللَّهُ مِنْهَا فُرْجَةً فَرَأَوْا مِنْهَا السَّمَاءَ ، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ كَانَتْ لِيَ ابْنَةُ عَمٍّ أَحْبَبْتُهَا كَأَشَدِّ مَا يُحِبُّ الرِّجَالُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَطَلَبْتُ إِلَيْهَا نَفْسَهَا ، فَأَبَتْ حَتَّى آتِيَهَا بِمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ ، فَتَعِبْتُ حَتَّى جَمَعْتُ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ ، فَجِئْتُهَا بِهَا فَلَمَّا وَقَعْتُ بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهَا ، قَالَتْ : يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَفْتَحْ الْخَاتَمَ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهِ ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْهَا فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ ، فَافْرُجْ لَنَا مِنْهَا فُرْجَةً فَفَرَجَ لَهُمْ ، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْجَرْتُ أَجِيرًا بِفَرَقِ أَرُزٍّ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى عَمَلَهُ ، قَالَ : أَعْطِنِي حَقِّي ، فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَرَقَهُ فَرَغِبَ عَنْهُ ، فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أَزْرَعُهُ حَتَّى جَمَعْتُ مِنْهُ بَقَرًا وَرِعَاءَهَا فَجَاءَنِي ، فَقَالَ : اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَظْلِمْنِي حَقِّي ، قُلْتُ : اذْهَبْ إِلَى تِلْكَ الْبَقَرِ وَرِعَائِهَا فَخُذْهَا ، فَقَالَ : اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَسْتَهْزِئْ بِي ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي لَا أَسْتَهْزِئُ بِكَ خُذْ ذَلِكَ الْبَقَرَ وَرِعَاءَهَا ، فَأَخَذَهُ فَذَهَبَ بِهِ ، فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ فَافْرُجْ لَنَا مَا بَقِيَ فَفَرَجَ اللَّهُ مَا بَقِيَ " ،
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Three persons set out on a journey. They were overtaken by rain and they had to find protection in a mountain cave where at its mouth there fell a rock of that mountain and thus blocked them altogether. One of them said to the others: Look to your good deeds that you performed for the sake of Allah and then supplicate Allah, the Exalted, that He might rescue you (from this trouble). One of them said: O Allah, I had my parents who were old and my wife and my small children also. I tended the flock and when I came back to them in the evening, I milked them (the sheep, goats, cows, etc.) and first served that milk to my parents. One day I was obliged to go out to a distant place in search of fodder and I could not come back before evening and found them (the parents) asleep. I milked the animals as I used to milk and brought milk to them and stood by their heads avoiding to disturb them from sleep and I did not deem it advisable to serve milk to my children before serving them. My children wept near my feet. I remained there in that very state and my parents too until it was morning. And (O Allah) if Thou art aware that I did this in order to seek Thine pleasure, grant us riddance from this trouble. (The rock slipped a bit) that they could see the sky. The second one said: O Allah, I had a female cousin whom I loved more than the men love the women. I wanted to have sexual intercourse with her; she refused but on the condition of getting one hundred dinars. It was with very great difficulty that I could collect one hundred dinars and then paid them to her and when I was going to have sexual intercourse with her, that she said: Servant of Allah, fear Allah and do not break the seal (of chastity) but by lawful means. I got up. O Allah, if Thou art aware that I did this in order to seek Thine pleasure, rid us from this trouble. The situation was somewhat eased for them. The third one said: Allah, I employed a workman for a measure of rice. After he had finished his work I gave him his dues (in the form of) a measure of rice, but he did not accept them. I used these rice as seeds, and that gave a bumper crop and I became rich enough to have cows and flocks (in my possession). He came to me and said: Fear Allah, and commit no crueltv upon me in regard to my dues. I said to him: Takeaway this flock of cows and sheep. He said: Fear Allah and do not make a fun of me. I said: I am not making a fun of you. You take the cows and the flocks. So he took them. O Allah, if Thou art aware that I did it for Thine pleasure, case the situation for us. And Allah relieved them from the rest of the trouble.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أُبَيٍّ ابْنُ سَلُولَ ، جَاءَ ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهُ قَمِيصَهُ يُكَفِّنُ فِيهِ أَبَاهُ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَامَ عُمَرُ فَأَخَذَ بِثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَتُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ نَهَاكَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا خَيَّرَنِي اللَّهُ ، فَقَالَ : اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً وَسَأَزِيدُهُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ " ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُ مُنَافِقٌ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلا تُصَلِّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَاتَ أَبَدًا وَلا تَقُمْ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ سورة التوبة آية 84 " ،
Ibn 'Umar reported that when 'Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul died, his son 'Abdullah bin 'Abdullah (b. Ubayy) came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and begged him that he should give him his shirt which he would use as a coffin for his father, he gave him that. He then begged that he should conduct funeral prayer for him. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had hardly got up to observe the prayer for him that 'Umar stood up and caught hold of the garment of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Allah's Messenger, are you going to conduct prayer for this man, whereas Allah has forbidden you to offer prayer for him? Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah has given me an option as He has said: "You may beg pardon for them or you may not beg pardon for them, and even if you beg pardon for them, seventy times" (ix. 80), and I am going to make an addition to the seventy. He was a hypocrite and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) offered prayer for him and Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse: "Do not offer prayer for any one of them at all and do not stand upon their graves for (offering prayer over them)" (ix. 84).

Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: The similitude of a hypocrite is that of a sheep which roams aimlessly between two flocks. She goes to one at one time and to the other at another time.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَخْبِرُونِي بِشَجَرَةٍ شِبْهِ أَوْ كَالرَّجُلِ الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَتَحَاتُّ وَرَقُهَا ؟ " ، قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ : لَعَلَّ مُسْلِمًا ، قَالَ : وَتُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا وَكَذَا ، وَجَدْتُ عِنْدَ غَيْرِي أَيْضًا وَلَا تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : فَوَقَعَ فِي نَفْسِي أَنَّهَا النَّخْلَةُ ، وَرَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ لَا يَتَكَلَّمَانِ ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ أَوْ أَقُولَ شَيْئًا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : لَأَنْ تَكُونَ قُلْتَهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا .
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported: We were in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he said: Tell me of a tree which has resemblance to a Muslim and the leaves of which do not wither. Ibrahim said that perhaps Imam Muslim had stated like this: It constantly bears fruit but I have, however, seen [It does not bear fruit constantly]. Ibn 'Umar (RA) said: It crossed my mind that it could be the date-palm tree, but as I saw Aba Bakr and Umar observe silence, I did not deem it fit that I should speak or I should say something. 'Umar said: Had you said so, it would have been dearer to me than such and such thing.
Hadith 2850
'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah would admit the inmates of Paradise into Paradise and the inmates of Hell into Hell. Then the announcer would stand between them and say: O inmates of Paradise, there is no death for you,O inmates of Hell, there is no death for you. You would live for ever therein.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: When the people would stand before Allah. the Lord of the worlds, each one of them would stand submerged into perspiration up to half of his ears, and there is no mention of the" day" in the badlth transmitted on the authority of Ibn Muthanni.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا مَاتَ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَقْعَدُهُ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، فَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، يُقَالُ : هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as say- ing: When any one of you dies, he is shown his seat (in the Hereafter) morning and evening; if he is amongst the inmates of Paradise (he is shown the seat) from amongst the inmates of Paradise and if he is one from amongst the denizens of Hell (he is shown the seat) from amongst the denizens of Hell, and it would be said to him: That is your seat until Allah raises you on the Day of Resurrection (and sends you to your proper seat).

Ibn 'Umar reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying (in a state) that he had turned his face towards the east: Behold, turmoil would appear from this side, from where the horns of Satan would appear.

حَفْصَةَ وَقَدْ بَلَغَهَا ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ : رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ مَا أَرَدْتَ مِنْ ابْنِ صَائِدٍ ، أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ غَضْبَةٍ يَغْضَبُهَا " .
Nafi' reported that Ibn 'Umar met Ibn Si'id on some of the paths of Madinah and he said to him a word which enraged him and he was so much swollen with anger that the way was blocked. Ibn 'Umar went to Hafsa and informed her about this. Thereupon she said: May Allah have mercy upon you, why did you incite Ibn Sayyad in spite of the fact that you knew it would be the extreme anger which would make Dajjal appear in the world?

حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَسَنِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ نَافِعٌ ، يَقُولُ : ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ قَالَ : قَالَ
ابْنُ عُمَرَ : لَقِيتُهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، قَالَ : فَلَقِيتُهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : لِبَعْضِهِمْ هَلْ تَحَدَّثُونَ أَنَّهُ هُوَ ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا وَاللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : كَذَبْتَنِي وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنِي بَعْضُكُمْ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يَمُوتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَكْثَرَكُمْ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا ، فَكَذَلِكَ هُوَ زَعَمُوا الْيَوْمَ ، قَالَ : فَتَحَدَّثْنَا ثُمَّ فَارَقْتُهُ ، قَالَ : فَلَقِيتُهُ لَقْيَةً أُخْرَى ، وَقَدْ نَفَرَتْ عَيْنُهُ ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : مَتَى فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُكَ مَا أَرَى ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا أَدْرِي ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا تَدْرِي وَهِيَ فِي رَأْسِكَ ، قَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ خَلَقَهَا فِي عَصَاكَ هَذِهِ ، قَالَ : فَنَخَرَ كَأَشَدِّ نَخِيرِ حِمَارٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ، قَالَ : فَزَعَمَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِي أَنِّي ضَرَبْتُهُ بِعَصًا كَانَتْ مَعِيَ حَتَّى تَكَسَّرَتْ ، وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا شَعَرْتُ ، قَالَ : وَجَاءَ حَتَّى دَخَلَ عَلَى
أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَحَدَّثَهَا فَقَالَتْ : مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَيْهِ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ قَدْ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يَبْعَثُهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ غَضَبٌ يَغْضَبُهُ " .
Nafi' reported that Ibn 'Umar said: I met ibn Sayyad twice and said to some of them (his friends): You state that it was he (the Dajjal). He said: By Allah, it is not so. I said: You have not told me the truth; by Allah some of you informed me that he would not die until he would have the largest number of offspring and huge wealth and it is he about whom it is thought so. Then Ibn Sayyad talked to us. I then departed and met him again for the second time and his eye had been swollen. I said: What has happened to your eye? He said: I do not know. I said: This is in your head and you do not know about it? He said: If Allah so wills He can create it (eye) in your staff. He then produced a sound like the braying of a donkey. Some of my companions thought that I had struck him with the staff as he was with me that the staff broke into pieces, but, by Allah, I was not conscious of it. He then came to the Mother of the Faithful (Hafsa) and narrated it to her and she said: What concern do you have with him? Don't you know that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said that the first thing (by the incitement of which) he would come out before the public would be his anger?
Hadith 169
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made a mention of Dajjal in the presence of the people and said: Allah is not one-eyed and behold that Dajjal is blind of the right eye and his eye would be like a floating grape.

Hadith 2981
حَدَّثَنِي
الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ نَزَلُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْحِجْرِ أَرْضِ ثَمُودَ ، فَاسْتَقَوْا مِنْ آبَارِهَا ، وَعَجَنُوا بِهِ الْعَجِينَ ، " فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُهَرِيقُوا مَا اسْتَقَوْا ، وَيَعْلِفُوا الْإِبِلَ الْعَجِينَ ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقُوا مِنَ الْبِئْرِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَرِدُهَا النَّاقَةُ " ،
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported that the people encamped along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in the valley of Hijr, the habitations of Thamud, and they quenched their thirst from the wells thereof and kneaded the flour with it. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) commanded that the water collected for drinking should be spilt and the flour should be given to the camels and commanded them that the water for drinking should be taken from that well where the she-camel (of Hadrat Salih) used to come.
Hadith 3003
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: It was shown in a vision that I was rinsing my mouth with miswak and two persons began to contend with one another for getting that miswak. One was older than the other. I gave the miswak to the younger one amongst them, but it was said to me: (Let it be given) to the older one. So I gave it to the older one.
