Hadith 1726
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ أُرَاهُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ " .
´It was narrated that Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray nine rak'ahs at night."
Hadith 1728
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً ، فَلَمَّا كَبِرَ وَضَعُفَ أَوْتَرَ بِتِسْعٍ " .
´It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray witr with thirteen rak'ahs, but when he grew older and weaker he prayed witr with nine."
Hadith 1730
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِشْكَابَ النَّسَائِيُّ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قال : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ , قَالَ : سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ " .
´Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza narrated from his father, that:` Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times."
Hadith 1731
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ , وَطَلْحَةَ , عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، قال : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " , خَالَفَهُمَا حُصَيْنٌ فَرَوَاهُ ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Sa'eed bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abza narrated from his father, that:` Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'"
Hadith 1783
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ وَيُخَفِّفُهُمَا " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray two rak'ahs of Fajr when he heard the Adhan and he made them brief."
Hadith 1788
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَتَى فِرَاشَهُ وَهُوَ يَنْوِي أَنْ يَقُومَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنَاهُ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ كُتِبَ لَهُ مَا نَوَى وَكَانَ نَوْمُهُ صَدَقَةً عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " , خَالَفَهُ سُفْيَانُ .
´It was narrated from Abu Ad-Darda' who attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ):` "Whoever goes to his bed intending to get up and pray qiyam at night, then sleep overwhelms him until morning, will have recorded that which he intended and his sleep is a charity given to him by his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime."
Hadith 1826
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا حَضَرْتُمُ الْمَرِيضَ فَقُولُوا خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ " , فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ ؟ قَالَ : " قُولِي ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنِي مِنْهُ عُقْبَى حَسَنَةً " , فَأَعْقَبَنِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'When you see the dead, say something good, for the angels say Amin to whatever you say; When Abu Salamah died, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I say?' He said: 'Say" Allahummaghfirlanaa wa lahu wa a 'qibni minhu 'uqbai hasanah (O Allah, forgive us and him, and compensate me well for this loss.)"' Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, compensated me with Muhammad."
Hadith 1861
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ . ح أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ , وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ , وَدَعَا بِدُعَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ " وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَلِيٍّ ، وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ بِدَعْوَى .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, rends his garment, calls out the calls of the Jahiliyyah."'
Hadith 1868
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ سَهْمِ بْنِ مِنْجَابٍ ، عَنِ الْقَرْثَعِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا ثَقُلَ أَبُو مُوسَى صَاحَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ , فَقَالَ : أَمَا عَلِمْتِ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَتْ : بَلَى ، ثُمَّ سَكَتَتْ ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ : أَيُّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَتْ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ مَنْ حَلَقَ أَوْ سَلَقَ أَوْ خَرَقَ " .
´It was narrated that Al-Qartha' said:` "When Abu Musa was close to death, his wife screamed and he said: 'Do you not know what the Messenger of Allah said?" She said: 'Yes, Then she fell silent and it was said to her after that: 'What did the Messenger of Allah say?' She said: 'The Messenger of Allah cursed the one who shaves his head, raises his voice in lamentation or rends his garment."
Hadith 1904
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ . ح وأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقًا ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَبَّابٌ ، قال : " هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبْتَغِي وَجْهَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فَوَجَبَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ ، فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَلَمْ نَجِدْ شَيْئًا نُكَفِّنُهُ فِيهِ إِلَّا نَمِرَةً ، كُنَّا إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رَأْسَهُ خَرَجَتْ رِجْلَاهُ , وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتْ رَأْسُهُ ، فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُغَطِّيَ بِهَا رَأْسَهُ وَنَجْعَلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ إِذْخِرًا ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا " , وَاللَّفْظُ لِإِسْمَاعِيلَ .
´Khabbab said:` "We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah, seeking the Face of Allah, the Most High, so our reward became due from Allah. Some of us died without enjoying anything of his reward (in this world) among them is Mus'ab bin Umair. He was matyred on the day of Uhud and we could not find anything to shroud him in except a Namirah; if we covered his head with it, his feet were uncovered, and if we covered his feet with it, his head became uncovered. The Messenger of Allah told us to cover his head with it and to put Idhkhir over his feet. And for some of us, the fruits of our labor have ripened and we are gathering them." This is the wording of Isma'il
Hadith 1938
أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ بِشْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا الْأَمْوَاتَ فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَفْضَوْا إِلَى مَا قَدَّمُوا " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not verbally abuse the dead, for they have reached the consequences of what they did."'
Hadith 1967
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، سَمِعْتُ ذَكْوَانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَرَدَّى مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ فَهُوَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ يَتَرَدَّى خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا ، وَمَنْ تَحَسَّى سُمًّا فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ فَسُمُّهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَتَحَسَّاهُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا ، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ ثُمَّ انْقَطَعَ عَلَيَّ شَيْءٌ خَالِدٌ , يَقُولُ : كَانَتْ حَدِيدَتُهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَجَأُ بِهَا فِي بَطْنِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:` "Whoever throws himself, he will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down forever and ever. And whoever kills himself with a piece of iron"- then I missed something ( one of the narrators) Khalid said-"will have his piece of iron in his hand, stabbing himself in the stomach in the Fire of Hell, forever and ever."
Hadith 2068
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ دَخَلَتْ يَهُودِيَّةٌ عَلَيْهَا فَاسْتَوْهَبَتْهَا شَيْئًا ، فَوَهَبَتْ لَهَا عَائِشَةُ , فَقَالَتْ : أَجَارَكِ اللَّهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَوَقَعَ فِي نَفْسِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُمْ لَيُعَذَّبُونَ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ عَذَابًا تَسْمَعُهُ الْبَهَائِمُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` a Jewish woman came to her and asked her to give her something, so 'Aishah gave her something, and she said: "May Allah protect you from the torment of the grave." 'Aishah said:" She made me worried, until the Messenger of Allah came and I mentioned that to him. He said: 'They are tormented in their graves with a torment that the animals hear."'
Hadith 2071
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَبْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ فِي كَبِيرٍ ، أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَكَانَ لَا يَسْتَبْرِئُ مِنْ بَوْلِهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَكَانَ يَمْشِي بِالنَّمِيمَةِ " ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ جَرِيدَةً رَطْبَةً فَشَقَّهَا نِصْفَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ غَرَزَ فِي كُلِّ قَبْرٍ وَاحِدَةً , فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , لِمَ صَنَعْتَ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ : " لَعَلَّهُمَا أَنْ يُخَفَّفَ عَنْهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَيْبَسَا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ' Abbas said:` "The Messenger of Allah passed by two graves and said: "They are being punished but they are not being punished for anything that was difficult to avoid. One of them used not to take care to avoid getting urine on his body or clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading gossip.' Then he took a fresh palm stalk and broke it in half, and planted one half on each grave. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, why did not do that?' He said: 'May it be reduced for them so long as this does not dry out."'
Hadith 2160
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ : " فِينَا رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَحَدُهُمَا يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ السُّحُورَ ، وَالْآخَرُ يُؤَخِّرُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُعَجِّلُ السُّحُورَ ، قَالَتْ : أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ السُّحُورَ ؟ قُلْتُ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَتْ : هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu 'Atiyyah said:` "I said to 'Aishah: 'Among us there are two of the Companions of the Prophet, one of whom hastens Iftar and delays Sahur, and the other delays Iftar and hastens Sahur.' She said: 'Which of them is the one who hastens Ifar and delays Sahur?' I said: "Abdullah bin Masud.' She said: 'That is what the Messenger of Allah used to do."'
Hadith 2161
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ : " فِينَا رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ السُّحُورَ ، وَالْآخَرُ يُؤَخِّرُ الْفِطْرَ وَيُعَجِّلُ السُّحُورَ ، قَالَتْ : أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ السُّحُورَ ، قُلْتُ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَتْ : هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu 'Atiyyah said:` "I said to 'Aishah: 'Among us there are two men, one of whom hastens Iftar and delays Sahur, and the other delays Iftar and hastens Sahur.' She said; 'Which of them is the one who hastens Iftar and delays Sahur?' I said: "Abdullah bin Masud.' She said; 'This is what the Messenger of Allah used to do."'
Hadith 2162
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمَسْرُوقٌ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا مَسْرُوقٌ : " رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كِلَاهُمَا لَا يَأْلُو عَنِ الْخَيْرِ ، أَحَدُهُمَا يُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ ، وَالْآخَرُ يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ ، قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : هَكَذَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu 'Atiyyah said:` "Masruq and I came to 'Aishah, and Masruq said to her: 'There are two men from among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah both of whom are good; one of them delays the prayer and Ifar, and the other hastens the prayer and Iftar.' 'Aishah said: 'Which of them is the one who hastens the prayer and Iftar?' Masruq said: 'That is what the Messenger of Allah used to do."'
Hadith 2163
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمَسْرُوقٌ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ، فَقُلْنَا لَهَا " يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ! رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَحَدُهُمَا يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَالْآخَرُ يُؤَخِّرُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَقَالَتْ : أَيُّهُمَا يُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَيُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ قُلْنَا : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَتْ : هَكَذَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالْآخَرُ أَبُو مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu 'Atiyyah said:` "Masruq and I came to 'Aishah and we said to her: 'O mother of the Believers, two men from among the Companions of Muhammad; one of them hastens the Iftar and hastens the prayer, and the other delays Iftar and delays the prayer; She said: 'Which one of them hastens Iftar and has hastens the prayer?' we said : 'Abdullah bin Masud.' She said: 'That is what the Messenger of Allah used to do."" And the other was Abu Musa.
Hadith 2217
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ عَمِلَهَا ابْنُ آدَمَ ، إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ يَدَعُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَطَعَامَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي ، الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ : فَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ ، وَفَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ ، أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:` "There is no good deed that the son of Adam does, but between ten and seven hundred Hasanahs will be recorded for him. Allah, the mighty and sublime, said: 'Except fasing, for it is for me and I shall reward for it. He gives up his desires and his food for my sake. Fasting is a shield, and the fasting person has two moments of joy. One when he breaks his fast and another when he meets his Lord. And the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." '
Hadith 2227
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ , وَالْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Muadh bin Jabal said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fasting is a shield."
Hadith 2241
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ شَبَابٌ لَا نَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ ، قَالَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ ! عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَاءَةِ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ ، وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "We went out with the Messenger of Allah and we were young men who could not afford anything. He said: 'O young men, you should get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and protecting one's chastity. Whoever cannot afford it should fast, for it will be a restraint Wija, for him."'
Hadith 2242
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ لَقِيَ عُثْمَانَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَخَلَا بِهِ فَحَدَّثَهُ , وَأَنَّ عُثْمَانَ , قَالَ لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ : هَلْ لَكَ فِي فَتَاةٍ أُزَوِّجُكَهَا ؟ فَدَعَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَلْقَمَةَ فَحَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ ، وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَلْيَصُمْ ، فَإِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Alqamah that:` Ibn Masud met 'Uthman at 'Arafat and spoke to him in private. Uthman said to Ibn Masud: "Are you interested in a girl so that I marry her to you?" 'Abdullah called 'Alqamah and he told him that the Prophet said: 'Whoever among you can afford to get married, let him do so. Whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for fasting will be a restraint (Wija) for him."'
Hadith 2243
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، وَالْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever among you can afford to get married, let him do so, and whoever cannot afford it should fast, for it will be a restraint (Wija) for him."'
Hadith 2244
أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَعَنَا عَلْقَمَةُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ وَجَمَاعَةٌ ، فَحَدَّثَنَا بِحَدِيثٍ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ حَدَّثَ بِهِ الْقَوْمَ ، إِلَّا مِنْ أَجْلِي لِأَنِّي كُنْتُ أَحْدَثَهُمْ سِنًّا ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ ! مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ ، وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ " , قَالَ عَلِيٌّ : وَسُئِلَ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، فَقَالَ : عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ , قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
´It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid said:` "We entered upon 'Abdullah along with 'Alqamah, Al-Aswad and a group (of others). He told us a Hadith which he only narrated to the people because of me, as I was the youngest of them. The Messenger of Allah said: 'O young men, whoever among you can afford to get married let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding one's chastity."' (One of the narrators) 'Ali said: "Al-Amash was asked about the narrated of Ibrahim, so he (the questioner) said: 'Form Ibrahim, from 'Alqamah, from 'Abdullah; similarly?. Which he (Al-'Amash) replied: 'Yes.
Hadith 2387
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : رَجُلٌ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ , قَالَ : " وَدِدْتُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَطْعَمِ الدَّهْرَ " ، قَالُوا : فَثُلُثَيْهِ ، قَالَ : " أَكْثَرَ " ، قَالُوا : فَنِصْفَهُ ، قَالَ : " أَكْثَرَ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا يُذْهِبُ وَحَرَ الصَّدْرِ صَوْمُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shurahbil that a man from among the Companions of the Prophet said:` 'It was said to the Prophet that a man fasted for the rest of his life. He said: 'I wish that he had never eaten.' They said: 'Two-thirds (of a lifetime)?' He said: 'That is too much.' Then he said: 'Shall I not tell you of that which will take away impurity from the heart? Fasting three days each month." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted."
Hadith 2388
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، قَالَ : أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ , فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! مَا تَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَدِدْتُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَطْعَمِ الدَّهْرَ شَيْئًا " ، قَالَ : فَثُلُثَيْهِ ، قَالَ : " أَكْثَرَ " ، قَالَ : فَنِصْفَهُ ، قَالَ : " أَكْثَرَ " ، قَالَ : " أَفَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا يُذْهِبُ وَحَرَ الصَّدْرِ " ، قَالُوا : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " .
´It was narrated that 'Amr bin Shurahbil said:` "A man came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a man who fated for the rest of his life?' Hadith 2425
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَامٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَصُومَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ الْبِيضَ : ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ ، وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ ، وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah commanded us to fast three days of Al-Bid, the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth."
Hadith 2426
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَامٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صُمْتَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الشَّهْرِ ، فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ ، وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ ، وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ " .
´It was narrated that Musa bin Talhah said:` "I heard Abu Dharr, at Ar-Rabadhah, saying: 'The Messenger of Allah said: if you want to fast at any time during the monthm then fast on the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth."'
Hadith 2442
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي ظِلِّ الْكَعْبَةِ ، فَلَمَّا رَآنِي مُقْبِلًا , قَالَ : " هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ " , فَقُلْتُ : مَا لِي لَعَلِّي أُنْزِلَ فِيَّ شَيْءٌ ؟ قُلْتُ : مَنْ هُمْ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي ، قَالَ : " الْأَكْثَرُونَ أَمْوَالًا ، إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا حَتَّى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يَمُوتُ رَجُلٌ فَيَدَعُ إِبِلًا أَوْ بَقَرًا لَمْ يُؤَدِّ زَكَاتَهَا ، إِلَّا جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْظَمَ مَا كَانَتْ ، وَأَسْمَنَهُ تَطَؤُهُ بِأَخْفَافِهَا ، وَتَنْطَحُهُ بِقُرُونِهَا كُلَّمَا نَفِدَتْ أُخْرَاهَا ، أُعِيدَتْ أُولَاهَا حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "I come to the Prophet while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah. When he saw me coming he said: 'They are the losers, by the Lord of the Ka'bah!' I said: 'what's happening? Perhaps something has been revealed concerning me.' I said: 'Who are they, may my father said mother be ransomed for you?' He said: "those who have a lot of wealth, except one who does like this, and like this, and like this,' (motioning) in front of him, and to his right, and to his left. Then he said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, no man dies leaving camels, or cattle, or sheep on which he did not pay the Zakah, but they will come on the Day of Resurrection as big and fat as they ever were, trampling him with their hooves and goring him with their horns. Every time the last of them runs over him, the first of them will come back, until judgment is passed among the people."'
Hadith 2452
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُهَلْهَلٍ , عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عِدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ ، وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ مِنْ ثَلَاثِينَ تَبِيعًا أَوْ تَبِيعَةً ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ مُسِنَّةً " .
´It was narrated from Muadh:` That the Messenger of Allah sent him to Yemen, and he commanded him to take a Dinar, or its equivalent in Maafr,[1] from each person who had reached the age of puberty. And with regard to cattle, from every thirty a male or female Tabi '(two-year-old). And from every forty a Musinnah (three-year-old). (Daif)
Hadith 2453
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، وَالْأَعْمَشُ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَا : قَالَ مُعَاذٌ : " بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ بَقَرَةً ثَنِيَّةً ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ ثَلَاثِينَ تَبِيعًا ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عِدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ " .
´Muadh said:` "The Messenger of Allah sent me to Yemen, and he commanded me to take from every forty cows, a cow in its third year, and from every thirty, a Tabi '(two-year-old), and from every person who had reached the age of puberty a Dinar or is equivalent in Maafir." (Daif)
Hadith 2454
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، " أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ ثَلَاثِينَ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ تَبِيعًا أَوْ تَبِيعَةً ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ مُسِنَّةً ، َمِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عِدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ " .
´It was narrated that Mu'adh said:` That when the Messenger of Allah sent him to Yemen, he commanded him to take from every thirty, cattle a male or female Tabi'(two-year-old), and from every forty, a Musinnah (three-year-old), and from every person who had reached the age of puberty a Dinar or is equivalent in Ma'afir. (Da 'if)
Hadith 2455
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الطُّوسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، أَنْ لَا آخُذَ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ ثَلَاثِينَ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ ثَلَاثِينَ فَفِيهَا عِجْلٌ تَابِعٌ جَذَعٌ أَوْ جَذَعَةٌ ، حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ أَرْبَعِينَ فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ أَرْبَعِينَ فَفِيهَا بَقَرَةٌ مُسِنَّةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Muadh to Yemen:` The Messenger of Allah commanded me not to take any cattle until the number had reached thirty. If the number reached thirty, then a Jadh'ah calf in its second year, either male or female, was due on them, until the number reached forty. If the number reached forty. If the number reached forty, then a Musinnah was due on them." (Daif)
Hadith 2458
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ صَاحِبِ إِبِلٍ وَلَا بَقَرٍ وَلَا غَنَمٍ لَا يُؤَدِّي زَكَاتَهَا ، إِلَّا جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْظَمَ مَا كَانَتْ ، وَأَسْمَنَهُ تَنْطَحُهُ بِقُرُونِهَا ، وَتَطَؤُهُ بِأَخْفَافِهَا كُلَّمَا نَفِدَتْ أُخْرَاهَا أَعَادَتْ عَلَيْهِ أُولَاهَا ، حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: There is no owner of camels, cattle or sheep who does not give Zakah on them, but they will come on the Day of Resurrection as big and fast as they ever were, and will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. Every time the last of them has run over him the first of them will come back to him, until judgment is passed among the people."
Hadith 2480
أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ عَفَوْتُ عَنِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ ، وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ مِائَتَيْنِ زَكَاةٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'I have exempted you from (having to pay Zakah on) houses and slaves, and there is no Zakah on less than two hundred (Dirhams)."
Hadith 2531
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ ، فَتَصَدَّقَ أَبُو عَقِيلٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ ، وَجَاءَ إِنْسَانٌ بِشَيْءٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ هَذَا ، وَمَا فَعَلَ هَذَا الْآخَرُ إِلَّا رِيَاءً " ، فَنَزَلَتْ الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَجِدُونَ إِلا جُهْدَهُمْ سورة التوبة آية 79 .
´It was narrated that Abu Mas 'ud said:` "When the Messenger of Allah commanded us to give in charity, Abu 'Aqil give half a Sa', and another man brought much more than that. The hypocrites said: 'Allah has no need of the charity of the former, and the latter only did it to show off. Then the following was revealed: 'Those who defame such of the believers who give charity voluntarily, and such who could not find to give charity except what is available to them."'[1]
Hadith 2565
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهُوَ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ ، وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ : الْمَنَّانُ بِمَا أَعْطَى ، وَالْمُسْبِلُ إِزَارَهُ ، وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالْحَلِفِ الْكَاذِبِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: "There are three to whom of Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection or look at them or purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment: the one who reminds people of what he has given them, the one who lets his garment hang beneath his ankles, and a vendor who tries to sell his product by means of false oaths."
Hadith 2568
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَعَاذَ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ ، وَمَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ ، وَمَنِ اسْتَجَارَ بِاللَّهِ فَأَجِيرُوهُ ، وَمَنْ آتَى إِلَيْكُمْ مَعْرُوفًا فَكَافِئُوهُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَادْعُوا لَهُ ، حَتَّى تَعْلَمُوا أَنْ قَدْ كَافَأْتُمُوهُ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever seeks refuge with (the name of) Allah, grant him refuge; whoever asks of you in (the name of) Allah, give him; whoever seeks protection with (the name of Allah, give him protection. Whoever does you a favor, then reciprocate, and if you cannot, then supplicate for him until you think that you have repaid him."'
Hadith 2584
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلنِّسَاءِ : " تَصَدَّقْنَ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ " ، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ خَفِيفَ ذَاتِ الْيَدِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ : أَيَسَعُنِي أَنْ أَضَعَ صَدَقَتِي فِيكَ وَفِي بَنِي أَخٍ لِي يَتَامَى ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : سَلِي عَنْ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِذَا عَلَى بَابِهِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهَا زَيْنَبُ تَسْأَلُ عَمَّا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا بِلَالٌ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : انْطَلِقْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلْهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَلَا تُخْبِرْهُ مَنْ نَحْنُ ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هُمَا ؟ " , قَالَ : زَيْنَبُ , قَالَ : " أَيُّ الزَّيَانِبِ ؟ " , قَالَ : " زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَزَيْنَبُ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ , قَالَ : " نَعَمْ لَهُمَا أَجْرَانِ ، أَجْرُ الْقَرَابَةِ ، وَأَجْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Zainab, the wife of 'Abdullah, said:` "The Messenger of Allah said to women: 'Give charity, even from women: 'Give charity, even from your jewelry. 'Abdullah was not a wealthy man and she said to him: 'Can I spend my charity on you and on my brother's children who are orphans? 'Abdullah said: 'Ask the Messenger of Allah about that.' She said: So I went to the Messenger of Allah, and at his door I found a woman from among the Ansar who was also called Zainab, and she was asking about the same matter as I was. Bilal came out to us and we said to him: Go to the Messenger of Allah and ask him about that, but do not tell him who we are. He went to the Messenger of Allah and he said:' Who are they?' He said: Zainab.' He said: 'Which Zainab?" He said: 'Zainab Al-Ansariyyah.' Abdullah and Zainab Al-Ansariyyah.' He said: 'Yes, they will have two rewards, the reward for upholding the ties of kinship and the reward dfor giving charity."'
Hadith 2699
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : : نَبَّأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ غُنْدُرٌ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "I saw the glistening of the perfume on the head of the Messenger of Allah while he was initiating Ihram.
