قال الواقدي: وحدثني ربيعة بن عثمان، عن هلال بن أسامة، عن عطاء بن يَسَار، عن عبد الله بن سَلَام، أنه قال: الذبيح هو إسماعيل (1). ذكرُ إسحاق بن إبراهيم خليل الله صلوات الله عليهما
Imam al-Waqidi (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Dhabih is indeed Isma'il (peace be upon him)."
