Hadith 25299
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ : إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ سورة الأحزاب آية 29 دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بَدَأَ بِي ، فَقَالَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنِّي ذَاكِرٌ لَكِ أَمْرًا ، فَلَا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لَا تَعْجَلِي فِيهِ ، حَتَّى تَسْتَأْمِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ ؟ " قَالَتْ : قَدْ عَلِمَ وَاللَّهِ ، أنَّ أبوي لَمْ يَكُونَا لِيَأْمُرَانِي بِفِرَاقِهِ . قَالَتْ : فَقَرَأَ عَلَيَّ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا سورة الأحزاب آية 28 ، فَقُلْتُ : أَفِي هَذَا أَسْتَأْمِرُ أَبَوَيَّ ؟ ! فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the verse of choice (Ayat Takhyir) was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) first called me and said, "O Aisha! I want to mention something before you; do not make any decision in this matter without consulting your parents." I asked, "What is it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me and recited this verse: "O Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), say to your wives: If you desire Allah and His Messenger and the Hereafter..." I said, "I choose Allah and His Messenger." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became very happy.
Hadith 25300
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْتَحِنُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ إِلَّا بِالْآيَةِ الَّتِي قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلَى أَنْ لا يُشْرِكْنَ سورة الممتحنة آية 12 وَلَا وَلَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to test believing women with this verse in which Allah Almighty said: "When believing women come to you."
Hadith 25301
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : فَأَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا مَضَتْ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ لَيْلَةً ، دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَتْ : بَدَأَ بِي ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّكَ أَقْسَمْتَ أَنْ لَا تَدْخُلَ عَلَيْنَا شَهْرًا ، وَإِنَّكَ قَدْ دَخَلْتَ مِنْ تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَعُدُّهُنَّ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا عَائِشَةُ ، إِنِّي ذَاكِرٌ لَكِ أَمْرًا ، فَلَا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لَا تَعْجَلِي فِيهِ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْمِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَلَيَّ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا سورة الأحزاب آية 28 - 29 ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : قَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ أَبَوَيَّ لَمْ يَكُونَا يَأْمُرَانِي بِفِرَاقِهِ . قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : أَفِي هَذَا أَسْتَأْمِرُ أَبَوَيَّ ؟ فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took an oath that he would not go to his pure wives for a month. After 29 days had passed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me first. So I said, "Did you not take an oath for a month? According to my count, today is the 29th day." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sometimes a month is also of 29 days." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Aisha! I want to mention something before you; do not make any decision in this matter without consulting your parents." I asked, "What is that matter?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me and recited this verse: "O Prophet! Say to your wives: If you desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter..." I said, "Will I consult my parents in this matter? I choose Allah and His Messenger." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became very happy.
Hadith 25302
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَخْبِرِينِي عَنْ خُلُقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ خُلُقُهُ الْقُرْآنَ " .
Sa’d bin Hisham says that once I presented myself before Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said, “O Mother of the Believers, tell me about the character of the Prophet (peace be upon him).” She replied, “The character of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the Qur’an itself.”
Hadith 25303
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : كَيْفَ يَأْتِيكَ الْوَحْيُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " يَأْتِينِي أَحْيَانًا لَهُ صَلْصَلَةٌ كَصَلْصَلَةِ الْجَرَسِ ، فَيَنْفَصِمُ عَنِّي وَقَدْ وَعَيْتُ ، وَذَلِكَ أَشَدُّهُ عَلَيَّ ، وَيَأْتِينِي أَحْيَانًا فِي صُورَةِ الرَّجُلِ أَوْ قَالَ : الْمَلَكِ فَيُخْبِرُنِي ، فَأَعِي مَا يَقُولُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Harith bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "How does revelation come to you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Sometimes revelation comes to me with a sound like the ringing of a bell; this form is the hardest upon me, but when this state departs from me, I have understood the divine message. And sometimes the angel comes to me in the form of a man and conveys the message, and I remember what he says."
Hadith 25304
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The hand of the thief who steals a quarter dinar or more should be cut off.
Hadith 25305
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أُخْبِرْتُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ وَهِيَ تَذْكُرُ شَأْنَ خَيْبَرَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْعَثُ ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِلَى الْيَهُودِ ، فَيَخْرُصُ عَلَيْهِمْ النَّخْلَ حِينَ يَطِيبُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُؤْكَلَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ يُخَيِّرُونَ يَهُودَ أن َيَأْخُذُوه بِذَلِكَ الْخَرْصِ ، أَمْ يَدْفَعُونَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ بِذَلِكَ ؟ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ أَمْرُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " بِالْخَرْصِ ، لِكَيْ يُحْصِيَ الزَّكَاةَ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ الثَّمَرَةُ وَيُفَرَّقَ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding Khaybar that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him) to the Jews. When the dates became edible, he would estimate them, then give the Jews the choice whether they would take them according to that estimate or give them to the Muslims. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the estimation so that the calculation of zakat could be done before the fruit was eaten and separated.
Hadith 25306
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ وَهِيَ تَذْكُرُ شَأْنَ خَيْبَرَ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " حِينَ يَطِيبُ أَوَّلُ التَّمْرِ " ، وَقَالَ : " قَبْلَ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ الثِّمَارُ ".
Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, from Ibn Shihab, that it reached him from him, from Urwah, from Aisha, that she said while mentioning the affair of Khaybar, and he mentioned the hadith, except that he said: "When the first dates become good," and he said: "Before the fruits are eaten."
Hadith 25307
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ ، فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ ، وَلَمْ أَكُنْ سُقْتُ الْهَدْيَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ مَعَ عُمْرَتِهِ ، ثُمَّ لَا يَحِلَّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا " . فَحِضْتُ ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ لَيْلَةُ عَرَفَةَ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ ، فَكَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِحَجَّتِي ؟ قَالَ : " انْقُضِي رَأْسَكِ ، وَامْتَشِطِي ، وَأَمْسِكِي عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ ، وَأَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ " . فَلَمَّا قَضَيْتُ حَجَّتِي ، أَمْرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، فَأَعْمَرَنِي مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِي الَّتِي نَسَكْتُ عَنْهَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, we set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I put on the Ihram for Umrah, and I did not have a sacrificial animal with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced that whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should combine the Ihram of Hajj with his Umrah and open both Ihrams together. I was menstruating, so on the night of Arafah I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I had put on the Ihram for Umrah, what should I do now for Hajj?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Undo your hair and comb it, and leave the Umrah and perform Hajj." When I completed the Hajj, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Abdur Rahman, so he took me to Taneem and had me perform Umrah from there in place of the first Umrah.
Hadith 25308
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ . وَهِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to Hazrat Duba’ah bint Zubair (may Allah be pleased with her). She said, "I want to perform Hajj but I am ill." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Set out for Hajj and stipulate this condition: O Allah! I will become free from Ihram wherever You prevent me from going further."
Hadith 25309
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْفِرَ ، أُخْبِرَ أَنَّ صَفِيَّةَ حَائِضٌ ، فَقَالَ : " أَحَابِسَتُنَا هِيَ ؟ " فَأُخْبِرَ أَنَّهَا قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ ، فَأَمَرَهَا بِالْخُرُوجِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah, Hazrat Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) began her menstrual period. This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Will this prevent us?" I said, "She began her period after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the order to depart.
Hadith 25310
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ خَمْسِ فَوَاسِقَ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ : الْحِدَأَةِ ، وَالْعَقْرَبِ ، وَالْفَأْرَةِ ، وَالْغُرَابِ ، وَالْكَلْبِ الْعَقُورِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are five creatures among the 'fawasiq' that may be killed in the Haram: the scorpion, the mouse, the kite, the rabid dog, and the crow."
Hadith 25311
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " خَمْسٌ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ كُلُّهُنَّ فَاسِقٌ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ : الْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ ، وَالْعَقْرَبُ ، وَالْغُرَابُ ، وَالْحِدَأَةُ ، وَالْفَأْرَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are five creatures among the 'fawasiq' that may be killed in the Haram: the scorpion, the mouse, the kite, the rabid dog, and the crow."

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : خَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ، فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ جِدًّا ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ جِدًّا ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَامَ ، فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ جِدًّا ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثم ركع ، فأطالَ الركوع جدًَّا ، وهو دون الركوع الأوَّل ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ ، فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ ، وَهُوَ دُونَ القيامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ ، فَقَامَ ، فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ . فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتْ الشَّمْسُ ، فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ ، وَإِنَّهُمَا لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ ، وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا ، فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَادْعُوا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَصَلُّوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا . يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، أَنْ يَزْنِيَ عَبْدُهُ ، أَوْ تَزْنِيَ أَمَتُهُ . يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَاللَّهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ ، لَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا ، وَلَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا ، أَلَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), there was a solar eclipse. The Prophet (peace be upon him) began to pray and stood for a long time, then he bowed (ruku) and made a long bowing, then before going into prostration (sajdah), he raised his head and stood for a long time, though this standing was shorter than the first. Then he bowed again and made a long bowing, though this bowing was shorter than the first. Then he prostrated. Then he stood for the second rak'ah and did the same as he had done in the first rak'ah, except that in this rak'ah, the first standing was longer than the second, and the first bowing was longer than the second. In this way, the Prophet (peace be upon him) completed the prayer, and by then the eclipse had ended. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) addressed the people, and after praising Allah, he said: "The sun and the moon are among the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse because of anyone's death or life. When you see them eclipsed, then glorify Allah, supplicate to Him, pray, and give charity. O Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him)! No one is more possessive than Allah that His servant or maidservant should commit adultery. O Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him)! By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would weep more and laugh less. Have I conveyed the message of Allah?"
Hadith 25313
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : يا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَرَى صَفِيَّةَ إِلَّا حَابِسَتُنَا . قَالَ : " أَوَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَفَاضَتْ " ، قَالَتْ : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " فَلَا حَبْسَ عَلَيْكِ " . فَنَفَرَ بِهَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah, Hazrat Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) began her menstruation. This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Will this prevent us?" I said, "She began menstruating after the Tawaf al-Ziyarah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then she should depart," or he said, "Then not."
Hadith 25314
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَتْهُ سَوْدَةُ ، فَأُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ بِمِنًى ، وَأَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ ، مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ النَّاسُ . فَقِيلَ لَهَا : وَكَانَتْ اسْتَأْذَنَتْهُ ؟ قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ امْرَأَةً ثَقِيلَةً ثَبِطَةً فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَأَذِنَ لَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "I wish I had also taken permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) like Hazrat Saudah (may Allah be pleased with her), and had gone to Mina to offer the Fajr prayer, and completed my tasks before the people arrived." People asked, "Did Hazrat Saudah (may Allah be pleased with her) have this permission?" She replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had given Hazrat Saudah bint Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) permission to leave Muzdalifah before Fajr because she was a weak woman."
Hadith 25315
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ ، فَيُخَفِّفُهُمَا ، حَتَّى أَقُولَ : هَلْ قَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ ؟ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the (Sunnah of Fajr) so briefly that I would say, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even recite Surah Al-Fatiha or not?"
Hadith 25316
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَتَرْجِعُ نِسَاؤُكَ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ ، وَأَرْجِعُ أَنَا بِحَجَّةٍ لَيْسَ مَعَهَا عُمْرَةٌ ؟ " فَأَقَامَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَالْبَطْحَاءِ ، وَأَمَرَهَا فَخَرَجَتْ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ " ، وَخَرَجَ مَعَهَا أَخُوهَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، فَأَحْرَمَتْ بِعُمْرَةٍ ، ثُمَّ أَتَتْ الْبَيْتَ ، فَطَافَتْ بِهِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا ، وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، وَقَصَّرَتْ ، فَذَبَحَ عَنْهَا بَقَرَةً .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will your companions return with both Hajj and Umrah, and I will return with only Hajj?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at Batha for her sake and sent her to Taneem with her brother Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). There she put on the Ihram for Umrah, performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah, Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and shortened her hair. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a cow on her behalf.
Hadith 25317
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most beloved deed to Allah Almighty is that which is done consistently, even if it is little.
Hadith 25318
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَيْ أُمَّهْ ، كَيْفَ كَانَ صِيَامُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : لَا يُفْطِرُ ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : لَا يَصُومُ ، وَلَمْ أَرَهُ يَصُومُ مِنْ شَهْرٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ ، كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ، بَلْ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ كُلَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would fast so much that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will continue to fast," and sometimes he would leave off fasting so much that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will continue to leave off fasting." And I have not seen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fast in any month as much as I saw him fast in Sha'ban; he would fast almost the entire month, leaving only a few days.
Hadith 25319
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَرَوْحٌ الْمَعْنَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ . قَالَ رَوْحٌ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ عَشْرَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، يُوتِرُ بِسَجْدَةٍ ، وَيَرْكَعُ رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ ، فَتِلْكَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to perform eleven rak'ahs of prayer at night, and would make one rak'ah as witr, and would offer two rak'ahs before Fajr. This makes a total of thirteen rak'ahs.
Hadith 25320
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سَابِطٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : أَبْطَأْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا حَبَسَكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ ؟ " قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ رَجُلًا مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَحْسَنَ قِرَاءَةً مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : فَذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي أُمَّتِي مِثْلَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I was delayed in reaching the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Aisha! What kept you?" She replied, "O Messenger of Allah! There was a man in the mosque; I have not seen anyone recite better than him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went there and saw that it was Salim (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of Hazrat Abu Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Praise be to Allah who made someone like you in my Ummah."
Hadith 25321
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَمِينُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِطَعَامِهِ وَصَلَاتِهِ ، وَكَانَتْ شِمَالُهُ لِمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the right hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was for eating and for remembrance of Allah, and the left hand was for other tasks.
Hadith 25322
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ابْنَةِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ مِنْ جِهَادٍ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، عَلَيْهِنَّ جِهَادٌ لَا قِتَالَ فِيهِ : الْحَجُّ وَالْعُمْرَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Is jihad also obligatory upon women?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! There is a jihad obligatory upon them in which there is no fighting, that is, Hajj and Umrah."
Hadith 25323
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ سُحُولِيَّةٍ ، لَيْسَ فِيهَا قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three Sahuli garments, in which there was neither a shirt nor a turban.
Hadith 25324
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ذَكْوَانُ مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ يُنْكِحُهَا أَهْلُهَا أَتُسْتَأْمَرُ أَمْ لَا ؟ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تُسْتَأْمَرُ " . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : فَإِنَّهَا تَسْتَحِي ، فَتَسْكُتُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَذَلِكَ إِذْنُهَا إِذَا هِيَ سَكَتَتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In matters of relationships, also seek permission from women." I submitted, "Virgin girls feel shy to speak on this subject." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Their silence is their permission."
Hadith 25325
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتِ : اسْتَأْذَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ ، فَقَالَ : " حَسْبُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ ، أَوْ جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to participate in jihad, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your jihad is Hajj."
Hadith 25326
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ أُنْكِحَتْ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهَا ، فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ ثَلَاثًا وَلَهَا مَهْرُهَا بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْهَا ، فَإِنْ اشْتَجَرُوا ، فَإِنَّ السُّلْطَانَ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid, invalid, invalid. If consummation takes place, then due to this, the dowry will become obligatory upon her, and if people differ regarding this, then the ruler will be the guardian of the one who has no guardian.
Hadith 25327
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ أَسْرَعَ مِنْهُ إِلَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ ، وَلَا إِلَى غَنِيمَةٍ يَطْلُبُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) hasten towards anything or seek any booty as eagerly as I saw him hasten towards the two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 25328
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجِهَادِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " بِحَسْبِكُنَّ الْحَجُّ ، أَوْ قَالَ : جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to participate in jihad, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your jihad is Hajj."
Hadith 25329
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَائِمًا وَلَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَاعِدًا " . قَالَ : قُلْتُ : كَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ إِذَا قَرَأَ قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا ، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding the voluntary prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that in the night prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for a long time and would sit for quite a while. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also recite, bow, and prostrate while standing.
Hadith 25330
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, and al-Thawri, from Ayyub, and he mentioned its meaning.
Hadith 25331
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ؟ قَالَتْ لِي : " رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ ، وَرُبَّمَا نَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ " . قَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الدِّينِ سَعَةً.
Yahya bin Ya'mar says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Tell me, would the Prophet (peace be upon him) sleep in a state of janabah?" She replied, "Sometimes he would perform ghusl before sleeping, and sometimes he would sleep before performing ghusl, but he would perform wudu (ablution)." I said, "Praise be to Allah who has made the religion spacious."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ . قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : وَكَانَ يَذْكُرُهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَكَذَا كَانَ فِي كِتَابهِ يَعْنِي الزُّهْرِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ وَمَعَهَا ابْنَتَانِ لَهَا ، فَلَمْ تَجِدْ عِنْدِي شَيْئًا غَيْرَ تَمْرَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ، فَأَعْطَيْتُهَا إِيَّاهَا ، فَأَخَذَتْهَا ، فَشَقَّتْهَا بَيْنَ ابْنَتَيْهَا ، وَلَمْ تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا ، ثُمَّ قَامَتْ ، فَخَرَجَتْ هِيَ وَابْنَتَاهَا ، فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى تَفِيئَةِ ذَلِكَ ، فَحَدَّثْتُهُ حَدِيثَهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ ابْتُلِيَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَنَاتِ بِشَيْءٍ ، فَأَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهِنَّ ، كُنَّ سِتْرًا لَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a woman came to her, and with her were her two daughters. She (Aisha) gave that woman a date. She broke the date into two pieces and distributed them between her two daughters (and did not eat anything herself). Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned this incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is tested with these daughters and treats them well, they will become a shield for him from Hell.
Hadith 25333
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي ، وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِالْحِرَابِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ لِأَنْظُرَ إِلَى لَعِبِهِمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أُذُنِهِ وَعَاتِقِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ مِنْ أَجْلِي ، حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا الَّتِي أَنْصَرِفُ ، فَاقْدُرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ ، الْحَرِيصَةِ عَلَى اللَّهْوِ " .
Narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that, by Allah, I have seen the time when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing at the door of my chamber and the Abyssinians were performing feats in the courtyard. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to shield me with his cloak so that I could watch their feats. I had placed my head between his ears and shoulder, and he kept standing because of me until I myself turned away. Now you can estimate how much a young girl would be inclined towards play and amusement.
Hadith 25334
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِاللُّعَبِ ، فَيَأْتِينِي صَوَاحِبِي ، فَإِذَا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَرْنَ مِنْهُ ، فَيَأْخُذُهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيَرُدُّهُنَّ إِلَيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I used to play with dolls, my friends would come and join me in play, and whenever they saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) coming, they would hide. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would then send them back to me and they would start playing with me again.
Hadith 25335
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْفُثُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ فِي الْمَرَضِ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ مِنْهُ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during his final illness, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the "Mu'awwidhat" and blow over himself.
Hadith 25336
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى الْغَيْثَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا هَنِيئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw rain falling, he would supplicate: "O Allah! Make it heavy, pouring, and pleasant."
Hadith 25337
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلي الله عليه وسلم : " نِمْتُ ، فَرَأَيْتُنِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ قَارِئٍ يَقْرَأُ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالُوا : هَذَا حَارِثَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ " ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَذَلِكَ الْبِرُّ ، كَذَلِكَ الْبِرُّ " . وَكَانَ أَبَرَّ النَّاسِ بِأُمِّهِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I entered Paradise and there I heard the sound of the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. I asked, "Who is this?" I was told that this is Harithah bin Nu'man. Your righteous people are like this; righteous people are like this. And he used to treat his mother well.
Hadith 25338
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مَرَضٍ ، أَوْ وَجَعٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ ، إِلَّا كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لِذَنْبِهِ ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا ، أَوْ النَّكْبَةِ يُنْكَبُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a thorn pricks a Muslim or he suffers any affliction or illness even less than that, it becomes an expiation for his sins.
