It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while standing, and then after a short while he would sit down and would not speak to anyone, then he would stand up and deliver the second sermon. Therefore, if anyone among you says that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while sitting, he is speaking falsely. By Allah, I have performed more than two thousand prayers with him.

Samak says that I asked Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead a light prayer, not like those people (who prolong it), and he also mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Qaf and similar surahs in the Fajr prayer.

He would remain mostly silent and laugh little. However, in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the companions would talk and mention incidents from the days of ignorance and laugh, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would only smile."

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Should I perform ablution after eating goat meat?" The questioner asked: "Should I perform new ablution after eating camel meat?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He asked: "Can I pray in camel enclosures?"
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on the day of Jumu'ah. He would deliver the first sermon and then sit down, then stand up and deliver the second sermon. The sermon and prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were moderate. And he used to recite a verse of the Qur'an on the pulpit.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying during the Farewell Pilgrimage that this religion will always prevail over its opponents; no one who opposes or separates from it will be able to harm it, until twelve caliphs have passed among my Ummah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something which I did not understand. I asked my father what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said. He replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: All of them will be from the Quraysh.
