Hadith 20882
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to delay the Isha prayer a little.
Hadith 20883
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُرِحَ فَآذَتْهُ الْجِرَاحَةُ ، فَدَبَّ إِلَى مَشَاقِصَ فَذَبَحَ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ ،
فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ، وَقَالَ : كُلُّ ذَلِكَ أَدَبٌ مِنْهُ ، هَكَذَا أَمْلَاهُ عَلَيْنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، وَلَا أَحْسَبُ هَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ قَوْلِ شَرِيكٍ قَوْلَهُ : ذَلِكَ أَدَبٌ مِنْهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded. When the pain from his wounds increased, he cut open his chest with a knife (committed suicide). Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not offer his funeral prayer.
Hadith 20884
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَلِّمُّ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ جُرْمُقَانِيٌّ إِلَى أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَيْنَ صَاحِبُكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ نَبِيٌّ ؟ لَئِنْ سَأَلْتُهُ لَأَعْلَمَنَّ أَنَّهُ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ غَيْرُ نَبِيٍّ ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ الْجُرْمُقَانِيُّ اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ ، أَوْ قُصَّ عَلَيَّ ، " فَتَلَا عَلَيْهِ
آيَاتٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى " ، فَقَالَ الْجُرْمُقَانِيُّ : هَذَا وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مُنْكَرٌ.
Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Jurmaqani came to the service of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Where are those of your companions who consider themselves to be prophets? If I ask them some questions, I will find out whether they are the Prophet (peace be upon him) or not." In the meantime, the Prophet (peace be upon him) arrived. Jurmaqani said, "Recite something to me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) recited some verses to him. Upon hearing them, Jurmaqani said, "By Allah, this is exactly the kind of speech that Musa (Moses) brought."
Hadith 20885
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I performed prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) sermon and prayer used to be moderate.
Hadith 20886
وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ : " كَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَتَانِ ، يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ ، وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ " .
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver the sermon while standing, and he would sit between the two sermons, and in these sermons he would recite verses from the Noble Qur'an and advise the people.
Hadith 20887
قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ طَابَةَ " .
And I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that Allah Almighty has named Madinah Munawwarah as Taabah.
Hadith 20888
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أُهْدِيَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِفَضْلِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ فِيهِ ثُومٌ ، فَبَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَلَمْ يَنَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ، فَلَمْ يَرَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ أَثَرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الطَّعَامِ ، فَأَتَى بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ " إِنِّي إِنَّمَا
تَرَكْتُهُ مِنْ أَجَلِ رِيحِهِ " ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ : وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ مَا تَكْرَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever any food was presented as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take some from it and send the rest to Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari. Once, some food came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere which contained garlic. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to Hazrat Abu Ayyub just as it was and did not take anything from it himself. When Hazrat Abu Ayyub noticed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had not taken anything from it, he brought the food back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that he had left it because of the smell of garlic. Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abu Ayyub said, "Then whatever you do not like, I also do not like."

حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سِمَاكٌ هُوَ ابْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي
جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ :
" يَكُونُ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا " ، ثُمَّ لَا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ ؟ فَقَالُوا : قَالَ : " كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " .
Hassan narrated to us, Zuhair narrated to us, Simak—he is Ibn Harb—narrated to us, Jabir ibn Samurah narrated to me, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "There will be after me twelve leaders." Then I do not know what he said after that, so I asked the people, and they said: He said: "All of them are from Quraysh."
Hadith 20890
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have offered the Eid prayers with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); there is neither Adhan nor Iqamah in them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to delay the Isha prayer a little.
Hadith 20892
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before the Day of Judgment, some liars will certainly appear, so beware of them."
Hadith 20893
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know a stone in Mecca which used to greet me before Prophethood; I still recognize it.

وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ : أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ عُرْيٍ ، فَعَقَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَرَكِبَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَّبِعُهُ نَسْعَى خَلْفَهُ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ مُعَلَّقٍ أَوْ مُدَلًّى فِي الْجَنَّةِ لِأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ " ، قَالَ
حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ
رَجُلٌ مَعَنَا عِنْدَ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ مُدَلًّى لِأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer of Hazrat Abu Dahdah, and then a mangy camel was brought, which a man had tied with a rope. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted it, and the camel began to jump. Seeing this, we started running after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, a man informed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How many hanging clusters there are in Paradise which are for Abu Dahdah."
Hadith 20895
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Seal of Prophethood on the back of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); it was the size of a pigeon’s egg.
Hadith 20896
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying during the Farewell Pilgrimage that this religion will always prevail over its opponents; no one who opposes or separates from it will be able to harm it, until twelve caliphs have passed in my Ummah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something which I did not understand. I asked my father, "What did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: All of them will be from the Quraysh."

جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا بَعَثَ بِفَضْلِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ بِفَضْلَةٍ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا ، فِيهَا ثُومٌ ، فَأَتَاهُ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَحَرَامٌ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا ،
وَلَكِنِّي كَرِهْتُهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ رِيحِهِ " ، فَقَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ : فَإِنِّي أَكْرَهُ مَا كَرِهْتَ " .

حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ، بَعَثَ بِفَضْلِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، فَكَانَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ يَتَتَبَّعُ أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيَضَعُ أَصَابِعَهُ حَيْثُ يَرَى أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِهِ ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بِصَحْفَةٍ ، فَوَجَدَ مِنْهَا رِيحَ ثُومٍ ، فَلَمْ يَذُقْهَا ، وَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، فَلَمْ يَرَ أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَمْ أَرَ فِيهَا أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِكَ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ مِنْهَا رِيحَ ثُومٍ " ، قَالَ : لِمَ تَبْعَثُ إِلَيَّ مَا لَا تَأْكُلُ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ
يَأْتِينِي الْمَلَكُ " .

Hadith 20899
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that people used to call Madinah Munawwarah as Yathrib. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah has named Madinah as Tayyibah.
Hadith 20900
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَزَرِيُّ ، عَنْ
نَاصِحٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" لَأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ أَوْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَدَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ " ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَمْ يُخَرِّجْهُ أَبِي فِي مُسْنَدِهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ نَاصِحٍ ، لِأَنَّهُ ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ، وَأَمْلَاهُ عَلَيَّ فِي النَّوَادِرِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person teaches good manners to his children, it is better for him than giving half a sa’ of charity every day.
Hadith 20901
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Ma'iz confessed to adultery four times before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to be stoned. The narrator did not mention flogging.
Hadith 20902
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that before the Day of Judgment, some liars will certainly appear; you should beware of them.

جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ مَعَ وَالِدِهِ بِالْحَرَّةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : إِنَّ نَاقَةً لِي ذَهَبَتْ ، فَإِنْ أَصَبْتَهَا فَأَمْسِكْهَا ، فَوَجَدَهَا الرَّجُلُ ، فَلَمْ يَجِئْ صَاحِبُهَا حَتَّى مَرِضَتْ ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَتُهُ : انْحَرْهَا حَتَّى نَأْكُلَهَا ، فَلَمْ يَفْعَلْ حَتَّى نَفَقَتْ ، فَقَالَتْ امْرَأَتُهُ اسْلَخْهَا حَتَّى نُقَدِّدَ لَحْمَهَا وَشَحْمَهَا ، قَالَ : حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ
عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ يُغْنِيكَ عَنْهَا ؟ " قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " كُلْهَا " ، فَجَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالََ : فَهَلَّا نَحَرْتَهَا ! قَالَ : اسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man lived with his father in Harrah. Someone said to him, "My she-camel has run away. If you find it, catch it and bring it back." Coincidentally, that man found it, but its owner did not return until the she-camel became ill. His wife said to him, "Slaughter it so that we can eat it," but he did not do so until the she-camel died. His wife then said, "Skin it so that at least we can cut its meat into pieces for fat." He said, "I will first ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired, "Do you have enough that you can do without this she-camel?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then go and eat it." After some time, its owner also came, and after hearing the whole incident, he said, "Why did you not slaughter it?" He replied, "I felt shy before you."
Hadith 20904
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Holy Prophet, it was found out that a man had committed suicide. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not lead his funeral prayer.
Hadith 20905

جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ ، فَقَالَ :
" لَنْ يَزَالَ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ عَزِيزًا مَنِيعًا ظَاهِرًا عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ ، كُلُّهُمْ " ، قَالَ : فَلَمْ أَفْهَمْ مَا بَعْدُ ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي : مَا بَعْدَ " كُلُّهُمْ " ؟ قَالَ : " كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying during the Farewell Pilgrimage that this religion will always prevail over its opponents; no one who opposes or separates from it will be able to harm it, until twelve caliphs have passed among my Ummah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said something which I did not understand. I asked my father what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said. He replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: All of them will be from the Quraysh.
Hadith 20907
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ibn Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) carried out the punishment of stoning on a Jewish man and woman.
Hadith 20908
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the beginning, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to encourage and command us to fast on the tenth of Muharram, and he would have us act upon it. Later, when the fasting of the month of Ramadan was made obligatory, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) neither commanded us regarding it, nor forbade it, nor had us act upon it.
Hadith 20909
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat, and not to perform ablution after eating goat meat, and to pray in sheep pens, but not to pray in camel pens.
Hadith 20910
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that during the blessed era of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a man cut open his chest with a knife and committed suicide. Upon hearing this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not offer his funeral prayer.
Hadith 20911
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I entered upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and saw that he was reclining on his elbow.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there were red streaks in the whiteness of the eyes of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his blessed mouth was wide, and there was little flesh on his blessed shank.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that after offering the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to remain seated in his place until the sun had risen.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" رَجَمَ يَهُودِيًّا وَيَهُودِيَّةً " ، يَعْنِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، وَحَدِيثُ خَلَفٍ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِ سِمَاكٌ ، وَإِنَّمَا سَمِعَهُ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ خَلَفٌ مِنَ الْمُبَارَكِيِّ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي كِتَابهِ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) carried out the punishment of stoning on a Jewish man and woman.

Hadith 20916
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that Allah has named Madinah Munawwarah as "Taba".
Hadith 20917
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that there was slenderness in the blessed shins of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and when he laughed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would only smile. And whenever I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, I would say that his eyes are kohl-lined, even if he had not applied kohl.
Hadith 20918
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي
خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : مَاتَ بَغْلٌ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ ، قَالَ : فَزَعَمَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهَا :
" مَا لَكَ مَا يُغْنِيكَ عَنْهَا ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَاذْهَبْ فَكُلْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a family living in Harrah whose members were poor and needy. Nearby, their she-camel or someone else's she-camel died. A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask about its ruling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Do you not have anything that would make you independent of it?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted them to eat it (due to the state of necessity).
Hadith 20919
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ
سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ، يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ فِيهَا ، فَقَامَ فَخَطَبَ خُطْبَةً أُخْرَى قَائِمًا " ، فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ قَاعِدًا ، فَلَا تُصَدِّقْهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while standing, then he would sit for a short while and would not speak to anyone, then he would stand up and deliver the second sermon. Therefore, if any of you says that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering the sermon while sitting, do not confirm it.
Hadith 20920
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man asking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Can I pray in the clothes in which I go to my wife?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes, unless you see a stain on them, then wash it off."
