Hadith 20238
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever plants a garden on any land, it belongs to him.

Hadith 20240
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a Bedouin came and started asking questions during the sermon. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the lizard?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A community among the Children of Israel had their forms transformed. Now I do not know which animal's forms were transformed."
Hadith 20241
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The seller and the buyer (the one who sells and the one who buys and sells) have the option (to cancel the sale) as long as they do not separate from each other.
Hadith 20242
حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ,
وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : ثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجَرْمِيُّ ، عَن
أَبِيهِ ، عَن
سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ , أَنَّ رَجُلًا , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" رَأَيْتُ كَأَنَّ دَلْوًا دُلِّيَتْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ، فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ فَأَخَذَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهَا ، فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ شُرْبًا ضَعِيفًا , قَالَ عَفَّانُ : وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَأَخَذَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهَا ، فَشَرِبَ حَتَّى تَضَلَّعَ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَأَخَذَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهَا ، فَشَرِبَ ، فَانْتَشَطَتْ مِنْهُ ، فَانْتَضَحَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub, may Allah be pleased with him, through a man, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I once saw in a dream that a bucket was let down from the sky. After a short while, Hazrat Abu Bakr came, he held the bucket by its wooden handles and drank a little water from it. Then Hazrat Umar came, and he also held it by his mouth and drank to his fill. Then Hazrat Uthman came, and he also held it by his mouth and began to drink from it, and during this, the water overflowed and spilled onto him.
Hadith 20243
Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would observe silence twice during the prayer: once after starting the prayer, and once after completing the recitation. Hazrat Imran bin Husain said that he did not even remember this regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Both of them wrote a letter to Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b about this matter, in which they asked him about this issue. Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b, in his reply, confirmed the statement of Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him).

مَنْصُورٍ ، عَن
هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَن
رَبِيعِ بْنِ عُمَيْلَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ ، عَن
سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" أَحَبُّ الْكَلَامِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَرْبَعٌ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، لَا يَضُرُّكَ بِأَيِّهِنَّ بَدَأْتَ " .
" وَلَا تُسَمِّيَنَّ غُلَامَكَ يَسَارًا , وَلَا رَبَاحًا , وَلَا نَجِيحًا , وَلَا أَفْلَحَ ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقُولُ أَثَمَّ هُوَ ؟ فَلَا يَكُونُ ، فَيَقُولُ : لَا " , إِنَّمَا هُنَّ أَرْبَعٌ فَلَا تَزِيدُنَّ عَلَيَّ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The four most beloved words to Allah are: La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar, Subhan Allah, and Alhamdulillah. You may begin with any of them, there is no harm in it. And do not name your children Aflah (successful), Najeeh (prosperous), Yasar (ease), or Rabah (profit), because when you call them by name and ask if they are here, people will say, "No, he is not here." These are four things; do not add anything to them.
Hadith 20245

سَمُرَة : " حَفِظْتُ
سَكْتَتَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ سَكْتَةٌ إِذَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ ، وَسَكْتَةٌ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ قِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ , وَسُورَةٍ عِنْدَ الرُّكُوعِ " , قَالَ : فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ ، فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى
أُبَيٍّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، قَالَ : فَصَدَقَ سَمُرَةُ.

" يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَمْلَأَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَيْدِيَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَعَاجِمِ ، ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُمْ اللَّهُ أُسْدًا لَا يَفِرُّونَ ، فَيَقْتُلُونَ مُقَاتِلَتَكُمْ ، وَيَأْكُلُونَ فَيْئَكُمْ " , حَدَّثَنَا
مُؤَمَّلٌ . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon Allah will fill your hands with (the wealth of) the non-Arabs, then they will become like lions who do not flee from the battlefield. They will kill your warriors and consume your spoils of war.

" الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا ، أَوْ يَأْخُذْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مَا رَضِيَ مِنَ الْبَيْعِ " .

سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ :
" كُلُّ غُلَامٍ رَهِينَةٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ ، تُذْبَحُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ ، وَيُحْلَقُ ، وَيُدَمَّى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every boy is held in pledge for his 'aqiqah, so sacrifice should be offered for him on the seventh day, his name should be given on that day, and his head should be shaved.
Hadith 20257
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that whoever forgets to perform the prayer at its appointed time, he should offer it as soon as he remembers, and on the next day, he should perform it at its prescribed time.

" مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ ، وَمَنْ اغْتَسَلَ فَذَلِك أَفْضَلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution on the day of Jumu'ah, it is sufficient, and whoever takes a bath, that is more virtuous.
Hadith 20260

قَتَادَةَ ، عَن
الْحَسَنِ ، عَن
سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ كَانَ يَوْمًا مَطِيرًا " فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنَادِيَهُ أَنَّ
الصَّلَاةَ فِي الرِّحَالِ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, on a rainy day, he instructed the people to pray in their own tents.

Hadith 20262

قَتَادَةُ ، عَن

سَمُرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْرُفٍ " , قَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً : أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Holy Qur'an has been revealed upon three letters.

الْحَسَنِ ، عَن
سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ الرَّجُلَانِ الْمَرْأَةَ فَالْأَوَّلُ أَحَقُّ ، وَإِذَا اشْتَرَى الرَّجُلَانِ الْبَيْعَ فَالْأَوَّلُ أَحَقُّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman’s marriage is contracted by two guardians in different places, then she will belong to the one who did it first. And whoever buys the same thing from two different men, then it will belong to the one who bought it first.
Hadith 20264

نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ نَسِيئَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the deferred sale and purchase of an animal in exchange for another animal.
Hadith 20265
حَدَّثَنَا
عَفَّانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
زَيْدَ بْنَ عُقْبَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
سَمُرَةَ بْنَ جُنْدُبٍ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" الْمَسَائِلُ كُدُوحٌ يَكْدَحُ بِهَا الرَّجُلُ وَجْهَهُ ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَبْقَى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْأَلَ الرَّجُلُ ذَا سُلْطَانٍ ، أَوْ يَسْأَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ ، لَا يَجِدُ مِنْهُ بُدًّا " , قَالَ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ الْحَجَّاجَ ، فَقَالَ : سَلْنِي ، فَإِنِّي ذُو سُلْطَانٍ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Stretching out one's hand to ask from someone is a wound and a blemish by which a person stains his face. Now, whoever wishes may let it remain on his face, and whoever wishes may leave it, except that a person asks from someone who is in authority or in a matter in which there is no other way out.
Hadith 20266
حَدَّثَنَا

إِذَا صَلَّى بِهِمْ سَكَتَ سَكْتَتَيْنِ : إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَإِذَا قَالَ : وَلا الضَّالِّينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 7 سَكَتَ أَيْضًا هُنَيَّةً " , فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَى
أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ أُبَيٌّ , أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ كَمَا صَنَعَ سَمُرَةُ . .
