Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Tell me the whereabouts of Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him)." So he reached Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Narrate to us that hadith which you heard directly from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and now there is no one left to hear it except you?" He replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever conceals the fault of his brother in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection." After hearing this hadith, he went to his mount, mounted it, and returned.
Hadith 17392

I said, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah!" (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas. Then the prayer was established, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went forward and recited these two surahs in the Fajr prayer. Then, as he passed by me, he said, "O Uqbah! One day, when it was my turn and I took them out at noon, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) standing before the people and addressing them. What I heard at that moment was this: Whoever among you performs ablution and does it well, then stands and offers two rak‘ahs in which he turns his heart and face attentively towards Allah, Paradise becomes obligatory for him and all his sins are forgiven. I said, "How excellent this is!" Upon this, the man in front of me said, "Uqbah! The statement before this was even better." I looked and saw that it was Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked, "O Abu Hafs! What was that statement?" He replied, "Before you came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever among you performs ablution and does it well, then says: 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu wa anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu' (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, and Muhammad is His servant and Messenger), the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever gate he wishes."

It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting in the mosque reciting the Holy Qur'an when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and greeted us with salam. We replied to him, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Acquire the knowledge of the Book of Allah, hold firmly to it, and recite it with melody.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting on the platform (Suffah) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came there and said: "Which one of you would like to go to the place of Bathan or Aqeeq and bring back every day two large, humped, and bright-foreheaded she-camels without committing any sin or severing ties of kinship?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) each one of us would like that." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If any one of you goes to the mosque and learns two verses from the Book of Allah, it is better for him than those two she-camels. Learning three verses is better than three she-camels, and learning four verses is better than four she-camels, and so on, increasing in number of verses and camels."
Hadith 17409
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the Noble Qur'an is wrapped in any leather and thrown into the fire, the fire will not burn it.
Hadith 17410
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Most of the hypocrites of my Ummah will be among the reciters (Qurra).
