حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ، قَالَ : أَصَبْنَا حُمُرًا خَارِجًا مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَكْفِئُوا الْقُدُورَ بِمَا فِيهَا " ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِسَعِيدِ ابْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا نَهَى عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَأْكُلُ الْعَذِرَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some donkeys came into our possession outside the settlement. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whatever is in the pots, throw it all out." Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) explained the reason for this, that they used to eat filth.
