Hadith 39249
٣٩٢٤٩ - حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أيوب عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: " (من) (١) بدل دينه فاقتلوه" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever changes his religion, kill him.
Hadith 39250
٣٩٢٥٠ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث وأبو معاوية ووكيع عن الأعمش عن عبد اللَّه ابن مرة عن مسروق عن عبد اللَّه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا يحل دم امرئ مسلم يشهد أن لا إله إلا اللَّه وأني رسول اللَّه إلا لإحدى: ثلاث الثيب الزاني، والنفس بالنفس، والتارك لدينه المفارق للجماعة" (١).
Hazrat Abdullah narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The blood of a Muslim man who bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) am the Messenger of Allah, is not lawful except in one of three cases: a married adulterer, a life for a life, and one who leaves his religion and separates from the community.
Hadith 39251
٣٩٢٥١ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن هشام عن الحسن قال في المرتدة: تستتاب، فإن تابت وإلا قتلت.
It is narrated from Hasan regarding a woman who apostatizes that she will be asked to repent; if she repents, then fine. Otherwise, she will be killed.
Hadith 39252
٣٩٢٥٢ - حدثنا حفص عن عبيدة عن إبراهيم قال: تقتل.
Ibrahim says that a woman who becomes an apostate will be killed.
Hadith 39253
٣٩٢٥٣ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن حماد بن سلمة عن حماد قال: تقتل.
Hazrat Hammad states that a woman who becomes an apostate will be killed. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa’s opinion, as mentioned by people, is that: if a woman becomes an apostate, she will not be killed.
