Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Ride on the sacrificial animal (offered during Hajj) in a good manner until you find another ride.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man driving a camel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Ride on it." The man submitted, "This is a sacrificial animal (for Hajj)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Ride on it, even if it is a sacrificial animal."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw a man driving a camel and said: Ride on it. The man submitted, "This is a sacrificial animal (for Hajj)." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "(Even so) ride on it."

Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that a man asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): Can one ride the sacrificial animal (for Hajj)? He replied: It can be ridden without overburdening it. The questioner asked: Can its milk be milked? He replied: Lightly.

It is narrated about Hazrat Anas that he said: Ride on it. The addressee said: Is this a Badnah? He said: (Even then) ride on it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man can ride his sacrificial animal (badnah) with kindness. And it is mentioned as the saying of (Imam) Abu Hanifa that: One cannot ride the sacrificial animal (badnah), except if the owner of the badnah faces severe hardship, then riding is permissible.
