٣٩٠٤٠ - حدثنا ابن عيينة ومروان بن معاوية عن معمر عن الزهري عن سالم عن ابن عمر أن غيلان بن سلمة أسلم وعنده ثمان نسوة، فأمره النبي ﷺ أن يختار منهن أربعا (١).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when Ghailan bin Salamah embraced Islam, he had eight wives. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered him to choose four from among them. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: the first four women will remain in the marriage.
