Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) that Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) dispatched an army, then continued to walk with them to bid them farewell and said: All praise is due to Allah who made our feet dusty in His path. A person said: We have sent them off. Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We have prepared them, sent them off, and prayed for them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) dispatched an army towards the land of Shaam, and then, in order to send them off, he mounted his ride and went out with them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that someone came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him that Hazrat Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him) had arrived. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I do not know which thing has made me happier: the arrival of Hazrat Ja’far or the conquest of Khaybar?! Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ welcomed him, embraced him, and kissed him between his two eyes.

Hazrat Hanish bin Harith (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that when Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent us towards Kufa, he walked with us for a part of the day, then bade us farewell and prayed for us. Then he sat down, dusted off the dirt and dust from his feet, and returned.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and did not go out to receive him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qarza (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent us towards the place of Sarrar.
