The Imam Distributes Whatever Is Collected Among the Army
Hadith 35461
٣٥٤٦١ - حدثنا أبو داود الطيالسي عن عمران القطان عن علي بن ثابت قال: سألت مكحولا وعطاء عن الإمام ينفل القوم ما أصابوا، قال: ذلك لهم.
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Mak'hool and Hazrat Ata that if the Imam distributes all the wealth that he received as spoils of war, then what is the ruling? They replied (there is none); it belongs to them.
Hadith 35462
٣٥٤٦٢ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري أنه سئل عن (النهبة) (١) في الغنيمة إذا أذن لهم أميرهم؟ فكره ذلك.
Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: If the leader gives permission to the army and they take things of their own choice, what is the ruling? He disliked this.
