Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took some people from among the Jews to participate in jihad, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also granted them a share.

Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the Jews along for jihad and would allocate shares for them just as he did for the Muslims.

Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) states that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the Jews along for jihad, and then he would also grant them a share from the spoils of war.

Hazrat Shaibani (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Sa’d bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) took some Jews with him for jihad, and then he also gave them a small amount of wealth.

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) about those Muslims who take the People of the Book along for jihad? Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: I found both the jurist and non-jurist Imams that they too would take the dhimmis along for jihad. Then they would also distribute the spoils of war among them. And they would waive the jizya from them, and this was as an additional favor for them.

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I found the Imams. Then he (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned the aforementioned hadith.
