Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Mughira narrates from Ibrahim regarding the man who was freed by a group, and his father was freed by others. He said that, in terms of kinship, they will inherit from each other, and their criminal liability will be upon the 'aqilah of their respective mawali.

Ibrahim narrates that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to seek a judgment regarding the freed slave of Safiyyah. Umar gave the decision of inheritance in favor of Zubair and the decision of indemnity upon Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
