Hadith 33681
٣٣٦٨١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن ابن جريج عن عطاء في رجل مات وترك مولى له وجده وأخاه لمن ولاء مولاه، قال عطاء: الولاء بينهما (نصفان) (١).
Ibn Jurayj narrates from Ata regarding the man who dies and leaves behind his mawla, grandfather, and brother: who will receive the wala’ of his mawla? He replied that it will be divided equally between the two of them.
Hadith 33682
٣٣٦٨٢ - حدثنا وكيع قال: قال سفيان: بلغني عن الزهري أنه قال: الولاء للجد.
Sufyan says that this statement has reached me from Zuhri that the right of wala' is for the grandfather.
Hadith 33683
٣٣٦٨٣ - حدثنا زيد بن الحباب عن ابن أبي ذئب عن الزهري في رجل ترك جده وأخاه قال: الولاء للجد؛ لأنه (ينسب) (١) إلى الجد ولا (ينسب) (٢) إلى الأخ.
Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrates from Zuhri about the man who leaves behind his grandfather and brother, he said that the right of inheritance (wala) is for the grandfather, because a person is attributed to his grandfather, not to his brother.
