Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Muhammad narrates that Iyas bin Mu'awiyah was arrested on the basis of an accusation. He said to me, "Go to Hasan and ask him what is the ruling for me regarding taking something from my wealth in this condition?" He says that I went to Hasan and said to him, "Your brother Iyas sends you greetings and asks, what is the ruling for me to dispose of my wealth in this state?" Hasan replied, "His ruling is like that of a sick person, therefore it is not permissible for him to dispose of more than one third of his wealth."
