Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Saeed bin Yazid narrates that Hazrat Sinan bin Salamah said to him: A man is very good except if he is associated with the people of Lot.

Hazrat Laith says that Hazrat Tawus used to say: There will be no hadd (legal punishment) for this unless he says: Surely you are doing an act like the act of the people of Lut.

A statement similar to that of Hazrat Tawus is also narrated from Hazrat Dahhak with this chain of transmission.

Hazrat Abu Khalid Al-Wasiti narrates that Hazrat Sha'bi said: I do not know whether the prescribed punishment (hadd) will be obligatory for this.

Hazrat Farqad Sabkhi says that a man said to another man: "O Luti!" So that person asked Hasan Basri and Muhammad. Both of them said: "The hadd (prescribed punishment) will not be carried out on him." And Hasan Basri said: "Except if he says, 'Indeed, you act like the people of Lut.'"

Hazrat Abu Alaa narrates that Hazrat Qatadah said: There will be no punishment for this, and Hazrat Abu Hashim said: When he says thus: Surely you have committed intercourse with so-and-so in his buttocks, then he will be given the lashes of the hadd of qazf.

Hazrat Qatadah narrates that a man said to Hazrat Abu Al-Aswad: "O Luti!" So he replied: "May Allah have mercy on Hazrat Lut." And he did not consider anything obligatory regarding this matter.

Hazrat Mansur narrates that Ibrahim said: Flogging should be administered to the person who committed this act and also to the one upon whom this accusation is made.
