Hadith 29280
٢٩٢٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن سماك عن الشعبي قال: رفع إلى علي رجل قتل امرأة فقال علي لأوليائها: إن شئتم فادوا نصف الدية واقتلوه (١).
Hazrat Sha'bi narrates that a man who had killed a woman was brought before Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Upon this, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the guardians of the woman: If you wish, pay half the blood money to the family of the killer and then you may kill him.
Hadith 29281
٢٩٢٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا غندر عن عوف عن الحسن قال: لا يقتل الذكر بالأنثى حتى (يؤدى) (١) نصف الدية إلى أهله.
Hazrat Auf narrates that Hasan Basri said: A man will not be killed in retribution for a woman unless the family of the killer pays half the blood money.
Hadith 29282
٢٩٢٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يعلى عن عبد الملك عن عطاء في الرجل يقتل المرأة قال: إن قتلوه أدوا نصف الدية وإن شاءوا قبلوا الدية.
Hazrat Abdul Malik narrates that Hazrat Ata, regarding the man who killed a woman, stated as follows: If they kill him in retribution, then half the blood money should be paid, and if the woman's family wishes, they may accept the blood money.
