Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hakeem and Hazrat Hammad both state that Ibrahim was asked about the foal of a horse that was walking with its mother. He replied: It will be liable because the owner has let it go.

Hazrat Hakam states that Ibrahim gave a ruling regarding the foal of a horse that was walking with its mother, that its owner will be held liable.

Hazrat Shu’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad, both of them, about the foal that was walking with its mother and then caused harm? Both of them replied: Its owner will be held liable.

Hazrat Ash'ath narrates that Hasan Basri said: He should not be made a guarantor.
