Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that for the ear, there is half the blood money (diyah).

Hazrat Zaid said: When an ear is uprooted from the root, its full compensation (diyah) will be obligatory.

Hazrat Tawus narrates from his father that Hazrat Abu Bakr said that for the ear there are fifteen camels, because it does not cause any deficiency in hearing, and it is covered by hair and turban.

Hazrat Mujahid used to say that when an ear is uprooted from the root, its compensation (diyat) will be fifty camels.

Hazrat Ata said that when an ear is uprooted from the root, its compensation (diyah) is fifty camels.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj said that Abdul Aziz bin Umar told me that it is written in the book of Umar bin Abdul Aziz that Hazrat Umar said that for the ear, there is half the blood money (diyah) and an equal amount of gold.

Hazrat Shurayh said that for the ear, half of the blood money (diyah) is prescribed.

Hazrat Abdullah said that if an ear is uprooted from the root, then half of the blood money will be in five, and if it is less than that, then the blood money will be according to the proportion.
