Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Alqamah narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: That person will not enter Paradise who has even a mustard seed's weight of arrogance in his heart.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah, the Lord of Majesty, says: Grandeur is My lower garment and Majesty is My cloak. Whoever tries to seize any of these from Me, I will cast him into Hell.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one will enter Paradise who has even a grain of arrogance in his heart, and no one will enter Hell who has even a mustard seed's weight of faith in his heart.

Hazrat Saeed bin Hayan Taimi narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) met each other, and they whispered to each other, then each of them returned to his companions. And Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) returned in such a state that he was weeping. People asked him: What made you weep? He replied: The person who says that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: No one will enter Paradise who has even a mustard seed's weight of arrogance in his heart, made me weep.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The arrogant will come on the Day of Resurrection like tiny ants in the form of men. Every kind of humiliation will overpower them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then they will be driven towards a prison in Hell called "Boulas." The great fire of Allah will engulf them. They will be given the leftover water of the people of Hell to drink.

Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Adi bin Khiyar narrates that Hazrat Umar said: Surely, when someone becomes arrogant and exceeds his limits, Allah, the Lord of Might, throws him down to the earth. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You scorn others, so Allah scorns you, for he considers himself great in his own eyes but becomes small in the eyes of people, until he becomes more despicable before people than a pig.

Hazrat Nafi' bin Asim narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The arrogant person will not enter Paradise.
