Sweeping and cleaning the house and pathway
Hadith 27597
٢٧٥٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو أسامة عن أبي (العميس عن) (١) أبي إسحاق عن أبي (زياد) (٢) عن أم ولد لعبد اللَّه بن مسعود قالت: كان عبد اللَّه يأمر [بداره فتكنس حتى لو التمست فيها تبنة أو قصبة ما قدرت عليها (٣).
Hazrat Abu Ziyad narrates that the slave woman (umm walad) of Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to instruct regarding the house, so the house would be swept, to the extent that if you wanted to find even a piece of straw or wood in the house, you would not be able to do so!
Hadith 27598
٢٧٥٩٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن سرية الربيع قالت: كان (الربيع) (١) يأمر] (٢) بالدار (أن) (٣) تنظف كل يوم.
Hazrat Sariyyah al-Rabi' states that Hazrat Rabi' used to order the house to be cleaned daily.
Hadith 27599
٢٧٥٩٩ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا منصور عن ابن سيرين قال: لما قدم الأشعري البصرة قال لهم: (فيما) (١) تقولون: إن أمير المؤمنين بعثني إليكم لأعلمكم سنتكم و (أنظف لكم) (٢) طرقكم (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin narrates that when Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari came to Basra, he said to the people: Indeed, the Commander of the Faithful has sent me to you so that I may teach you your ways and I may clear your paths.
