باب من كره أن يوطأ عقبه
One who dislikes being followed from behind
Hadith 27481
٢٧٤٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو أسامة عن زائدة عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا يكرهون أن توطأ أعقابهم.
Hazrat Mansur narrates that Ibrahim said: The Companions disliked that someone should walk behind them.
Hadith 27482
٢٧٤٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا سويد بن عمرو الكلبي عن حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت عن شعيب بن (عبد اللَّه) (١) [بن عمرو عن أبيه قال: ما رئي رسول اللَّه ﷺ يأكل متكئًا قط ولا يطأ عقبه رجلان] (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it was never seen that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ate food while reclining, nor did two men ever walk behind him.
Hadith 27483
٢٧٤٨٣ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش) (١) عن إبراهيم التيمي عن الحارث بن سويد أن عمارًا دعا على رجل قال: اللهم إن كان كاذبًا فابسط له (في) (٢) الدنيا، واجعله موطأ العقبين (٣).
Hazrat Harith bin Suwaid narrates that Hazrat Ammar cursed a man in this way: O Allah! If this person is a liar, then make the world spacious for him and make him such that people follow behind him.
