Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Usman narrates that a man came to Hazrat Salman and said: Indeed, so-and-so has conveyed greetings (salaam) to you. Hazrat Salman asked: How many days ago? The man mentioned the number of days. Hazrat Salman said: If you had not done so, it would have been a trust (amanat) whose fulfillment would have been obligatory upon you.

Hazrat Abdul A'la reports that Hazrat Ibn Hanfiyyah said about a certain man: Convey my greetings to so-and-so, and he said: This is a trust, except if that person forgets.

Hazrat Asim says that I asked Hazrat Abu Majliz about a person saying to another person: "Convey my greetings to so-and-so," and whether there is any harm in it. He replied: This will be a trust. And when he says: "Shall I convey greetings on your behalf?" He replied: There will be allowance in this.
