Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to sever relations with his brother for more than three days. When the two meet, one turns away from the other and the other turns away from him, and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace.

Hazrat Sa'd narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for any Muslim to sever relations with his brother for more than three days.

Hazrat Abu Al-Ahwas narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is not permissible for two Muslims to sever relations with each other for more than three days.

Hazrat Aamir bin Yahya Muafari narrates that Hazrat Fadala bin Ubaid, who is a companion of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: Whoever severs relations with his brother for more than three days will be in Hell, unless he makes amends for it through repentance.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Beware! Do not bear malice towards one another, do not envy one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. O servants of Allah! Become brothers to one another, and none of you should sever relations with his brother for more than three days.

Hazrat Abu Bakr narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not envy one another, do not sever relations with one another, do not turn your backs on one another, and O servants of Allah! Become brothers to one another.

Hazrat Taimi narrates that Hazrat Anas said: It is not permissible for two Muslims to sever relations with each other for more than three days.

Hazrat Mujahid narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some people who were pulling a stone. He asked: What is this? They replied: It is a very heavy stone! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you about something even harder than this? It is when there is a severance of relations between two brothers, so that Satan overcomes them, and one comes to his brother and starts talking to him.

Hazrat Qais narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is not permissible for any Muslim to sever relations with his brother for more than three days.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is not permissible for any Muslim to sever relations with his brother for more than three days.
