Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira. He says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should walk in one shoe, nor should he walk in one sock. Either take both off (and walk) or wear both and walk."

Hazrat Abu Razin narrates about Hazrat Abu Hurairah. He says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah came to us in such a state that he was striking his hand on his forehead and said: You people say such things that I lie about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When the strap of any one of you breaks, he should not walk with the other shoe until he fixes the (broken strap one)."

Hazrat Ibn Aun narrates from Muhammad regarding the person who walks with one shoe. He said: The earlier people used to dislike this and would say: He should not walk, not even a single step.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir. He says: Never walk in a single shoe.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah. He says that if the strap of any one of you breaks, he should not walk with only one shoe.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdul Malik. He says that I saw Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair; his strap broke, so he took off his shoes until he repaired (the broken shoe).
