Hadith 26055
٢٦٠٥٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عمرو (عن) (١) سعيد بن (حويرث) (٢) سمعت ابن عباس يقول كنا عند النبي ﷺ فجاء من الغائط وأتي بطعام، فقيل له: ألا (تتوضأ؟) (٣) قال: "لم أصل (فأتوضا) (٤) " (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Huwairith that I heard Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) say: We were present with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he returned from relieving himself, and food was brought to him. It was said to him: Why did you not perform ablution? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "I do not have to pray, so why should I perform ablution?"
Hadith 26056
٢٦٠٥٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن هشام عن أبيه قال: خرج عمر ابن الخطاب من الخلاء، وأتي بطعام (فقالوا) (١): (ندعوا) (٢) (بوضوء) (٣)، فقال: إنما آكل بيميني (وأستطيب) (٤) بشمالي، فأكل ولم يمس ماء (٥).
Hazrat Hisham narrates from his father that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab came out of the toilet and food was brought to him. The people said: We will bring water for ablution. Hazrat Umar said: I eat only with my right hand and use my left hand for cleaning myself. Thus, he ate the food without even touching the water.
Hadith 26057
٢٦٠٥٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن سالم (ابن) (١) أبي الجعد (٢) أن ابن مسعود دعا رجلا إلى طعامه، فقال: إني قد بلت، قال: إنك لم تبل في يدك (٣).
Hazrat Salim bin Abi Al-Ja'd narrates from his father that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud invited a man to eat with him, so the man said, "I have urinated." He (Ibn Mas'ud) replied, "You did not urinate on your hand."
Hadith 26058
٢٦٠٥٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن شعبة عن منصور عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن أبيه قال: دعا عبد اللَّه رجلًا إلى طعامه فقال: إني قد بلت قال: بولك ليس في يدك (١).
Hazrat Salim bin Abi Al-Ja'd narrates from his father that Hazrat Abdullah invited a man to his food, so he replied, "I have just urinated and come." He (Hazrat Abdullah) said, "Your urine is not in your hand, is it?"
