Hadith 24391
٢٤٣٩١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن مبارك عن عاصم عن (الشعبي) قال: إذا رضي الخصمان بقول رجل جاز عليهما (ما قال) (١).
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if the disputing parties agree upon the statement of one person, then it is permissible for them to act upon his statement.
Hadith 24392
٢٤٣٩٢ - [حدثنا أبو بكر قال]: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن عاصم الأحول عن ابن سيرين قال: جاء رجلان يختصمان إلى عبيدة فقال: تؤمراني عليكما؟ قالا: نعم! فقضى بينهما.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sirin that two people, while arguing, came to Hazrat Ubaidah. He asked them, "Do both of you accept me as your arbitrator and judge?" They replied, "Yes." Then he gave a decision between them.
