If a Man Says to His Wife, 'I Have Given You Khul‘,' but Has Not, What Is the Ruling?
Hadith 20334
٢٠٣٣٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا هشيم عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم (أنه) (١) قال في الرجل يقول لامرأته: قد خلعتك، ولم يكن خلعها، قال: قد خلعها، ولا شيء عليه.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If a man says to his wife, "I have granted you khul‘," even though he has not actually granted khul‘, what is the ruling? He replied: He has granted khul‘ and nothing will be obligatory upon him.
