Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Ma'qil (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the child's suckling will be from his share.

Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the suckling of the child will be from his share.

Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a case regarding the nursing of a child was brought before Abdullah bin Utbah (may Allah have mercy on him). He made the nursing obligatory from the child's wealth and said to his guardian, "If he had no wealth, we would have arranged for his milk from your wealth. Have you not read this verse of the Holy Qur'an { وَعَلَی الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَلِکَ }"

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that if the child's share fulfills the requirement of suckling, then it will be taken from his share, and if not, then from the entire wealth.

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that expenses will be spent on a nursing child from his share, whether it is little or much.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that our companions used to say that expenses for the child will be taken from all of the wealth.

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that maintenance and breastfeeding expenses will be from the entire wealth.
