Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a free woman is married to a slave, or a slave woman is married to a free man, and in the case of their becoming pregnant they are divorced, then they will be entitled to maintenance.

Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a slave divorces his wife while she is pregnant, then it will be obligatory for him to provide maintenance for the woman until the child is born.

Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a slave divorces his free wife, then maintenance will remain obligatory on him until the birth of the child; after the birth of the child, maintenance will no longer be obligatory.

Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a slave woman is in the marriage of a free man and he divorces her, then maintenance is obligatory upon him until the birth of the child, and the wages for breastfeeding will not be obligatory upon him.
