Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that whoever divorces his wife while she is pregnant, Allah will make him regret it, and he will have to provide for her during pregnancy and breastfeeding until the child is weaned.

Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that when a man gives his wife three divorces while she is pregnant, the woman’s maintenance will be obligatory upon the man, whether she is free or a slave.

Hazrat Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a man gives his wife a final divorce, the woman will not receive maintenance, but if she is pregnant, she will receive maintenance until the child is born.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a woman who has been given three divorces, or against whom ila has been pronounced, or who has taken khula, or with whom li'an has been done, and these women are pregnant, then they will receive maintenance.

Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) say that every pregnant woman will receive maintenance.

Hazrat Aamir, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked that if a person divorces his wife while she is pregnant, will he provide her maintenance? He replied that yes, if he is a free man, he will provide maintenance.

Hazrat Dahhak (may Allah have mercy on him), in the commentary of the verse { فَأَنْفِقُوا عَلَیْہِنَّ حَتَّی یَضَعْنَ حَمْلَہُنَّ } of the Holy Qur'an, says that if a person divorces his wife while she is pregnant, he will provide her maintenance until she gives birth.
