Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we do not implement a woman's statement in the religion of Allah (this is an allusion to the statement of Hazrat Fatimah bint Qais). For a woman who has been given three divorces, it is obligatory upon the husband to provide residence and maintenance. Hazrat Ibn Fudayl (may Allah have mercy on him) has added in his narration that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that there is no good for a woman in mentioning this matter.

Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) say that a woman who has been given three divorces will be entitled to residence and maintenance.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a woman who has been given three divorces will be provided with accommodation and maintenance.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) say that a woman who has been given three divorces will be entitled to residence and maintenance.

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a divorced woman will receive maintenance until she becomes unlawful, and when she becomes unlawful, she will be given benefit with kindness.

Hasan, Hazrat Sha'bi, and Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on them) say that a woman who has been given three divorces will be entitled to residence and maintenance.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We cannot abandon the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) because of the statement of a woman; we do not know whether that woman forgot or remembered." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to make it obligatory upon the husband to provide residence and maintenance for a divorced woman.

Yahya bin Saeed (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him): If a man divorces his wife and she is living in a rented house, upon whom is the rent obligatory? He replied: Upon her husband. I asked: If her husband does not have the means to pay the rent, then upon whom is it obligatory? He replied: Upon the woman. I asked: If the woman also does not have the means, then upon whom is it obligatory? He replied: Upon the ruler.

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a woman who has been given three divorces will receive accommodation and maintenance.

Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said that we cannot abandon the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet because of the statement of a woman; a woman who has been given three divorces will receive residence and maintenance.

Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We cannot abandon the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet because of the statement of a woman."

Hazrat Shurayh says that a woman who has been given three divorces will receive residence and maintenance.

Ibrahim says that a woman who has been given three divorces will receive residence and maintenance.
