Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them) say that telling a woman to separate is one divorce, and the man will have the right to take her back.

Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that in telling a woman to be alone, the man's intention will be taken into account.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that telling a woman to separate (takhliya) counts as three divorces.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that telling a woman to separate (Takhliya) counts as three divorces.

Hazrat Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in telling a woman to be alone, the intention will be taken into account.

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if a person told his wife to separate (leave him alone) with the intention of divorce, then at least one divorce will take place, and if they wish, they can remarry. And if he intended three (divorces), then three divorces will take place.
