What Is Meant by 'Hasan' (Goodness/Beauty)?
Hadith 18517
١٨٥١٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن زياد بن خيثمة عن (نعيم) (١) ابن أبي هند عن عمر الأعور عن (عبد اللَّه) (٢) بن جعفر قال: قالت عائشة: البياض نصف الحسن (٣).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that fairness is half of beauty.
Hadith 18518
١٨٥١٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي الأحوص عن عبد اللَّه قال: أعطي يوسف وأمه ثلث الحسن (١).
Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him) and his mother were granted one third of all beauty.
Hadith 18519
١٨٥١٩ - حدثنا عفان عن حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت عن أنس أن النبي ﷺ (١) قال: "أعطي يوسف شطر الحسن" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him) was granted half of all beauty.
