Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

The grandmother of Hazrat Amr bin Qais narrates that her father married a woman in exchange for my maidservant. She says, I took this case to the court of Qazi Shurayh, so he ruled that the maidservant should be for me and the price of the maidservant should be for that woman.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that if a man marries a woman in exchange that he will free that woman's father, and he is not able to free him [the father], then the price of her father will be obligatory upon him.

Ibrahim says that if a person marries a woman on the condition that he will take her for Hajj, then this is permissible.

Hazrat Hammad says that if a person marries a woman on the condition that he will take her for Hajj, but divorces her before consummation, then half of the expenses for Hajj will be obligatory upon him.
