Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mujahid says that shaving the head, trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, and removing the hair from the armpits are meant.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi says that after becoming halal from Ihram, he will shave his head, trim the hair of his armpits, trim his mustache, and cut his nails.

Hazrat Ata says: Shaving the head, sacrificing the animal, cutting the nails, and performing the rites of Hajj.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that what is meant are the rites of Hajj that are obligatory upon him.

Hazrat Ikrimah says that what is meant is cutting the hair and nails.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that by "at-tafath" is meant stoning (Rami), sacrifice (Qurbani), shaving the head (Halaq), shortening the hair, and trimming the moustache, nails, and beard hair.
