When to depart from ‘Arafah after the standing
Hadith 14275
١٤٢٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة قال: حدثنا عمرو عن عطاء عن ابن عباس قال: كنت (ممن) (١) قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ في ضعفة أهله (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that I am among those whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent ahead due to the weakness of their families.
Hadith 14276
١٤٢٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة قال: (أخبرني) (١) عبيد اللَّه ابن أبي يزيد أنه سمع ابن عباس يقول: أنا ممن قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ في ضعفة أهله (٢).
The same is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
Hadith 14277
١٤٢٧٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر وسفيان عن سلمة بن كهيل عن الحسن (العرني) (١) عن ابن عباس قال: قدمنا رسول اللَّه ﷺ (اغيلمة) (٢) بني عبد المطلب على (حمرات) (٣) من جمع، وجعل (يلطح) (٤) أفخاذنا ويقول: " (أَبنِيَّ) (٥) لا ترموا الجمرة حتى تطلع الشمس" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) made us, the children of Banu Abdul Muttalib, ride on donkeys and sent us ahead of the crowd, and he was striking our thighs with his hand and said: O my sons! Do not perform the Rami before sunrise.
Hadith 14279
١٤٢٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه: أن النبي ﷺ أمر أم سلمة أن توافيه صلاة الصبح بمنى (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Umm al-Mu'mineen Hazrat Umm Salamah to perform the Fajr prayer in Mina.
Hadith 14280
١٤٢٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن المسعودي عن الحكم عن مقسم عن ابن عباس: أن النبي ﷺ قدم ضعفة أهله وقال: "لا ترموا (الجمرة) (١) حتى تطلع الشمس" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent the weak people from his household ahead and said: Do not perform the stoning before sunrise.
Hadith 14281
١٤٢٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة قال: حدثنا عمرو بن دينار عن سالم بن شوال عن أم (حبيبة) (١) قالت: (قد) (٢) (كنا) (٣) نفعله على عهد النبي ﷺ (٤).
Hazrat Umm Habibah says that during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to do the same.
Hadith 14282
١٤٢٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص عن ابن جريج عن عطاء عن (ابن) (١) الشوال قال: قال عبد اللَّه (ابن عمر) (٢): إنما جمع منزل (ترتحل) (٣) منه (إذا) (٤) شئت (٥).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that Arafah is the place of gathering; whenever you wish, you may depart from here.
Hadith 14283
١٤٢٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عمرو عن عبد اللَّه مولى أسماء: أنها كانت تصلي الصبح بمنى (١).
Hazrat Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Asma performed the Fajr prayer in Mina.
Hadith 14284
١٤٢٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (سعد) (١) بن إبراهيم عن حميد (بن) (٢) عبد الرحمن بن عوف أن (٣) عبد الرحمن بن عوف كان يعجل النساء والصبيان من جمع بليل (٤).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf used to send women and children from Arafat at night.
Hadith 14285
١٤٢٨٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن (عبيد) (١) اللَّه بن (أبي) (٢) زياد عن عطاء عن عائشة: أنها كانت تقدم ضعفة أهلها من جمع بليل (٣).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to send the weak ones among her household from Arafat at night, and Hazrat Ata says that I also do the same.
Hadith 14287
١٤٢٨٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم: أنه كان يرخص (للكبير) (١) والمريض أن يفيضوا من جمع بليل، ولكن لا يرمي جمرة العقبة حتى تطلع (الشمس) (٢).
Ibrahim says that the elderly and the sick have been permitted to leave Arafat for Mina at night, but they should not perform the stoning of Jamrah Aqabah before sunrise.
Hadith 14288
١٤٢٨٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن عطاء قال: رخص للمريض والحبلى ومن كانت به علة أن يفيضوا من جمع بليل، ولا يرموا الجمار حتى تطلع الشمس.
Hazrat Ata says that the sick and pregnant women, and likewise those people who have some other illness, may depart from Arafat at night, but they should not perform the stoning of the Jamarat before sunrise.
Hadith 14289
١٤٢٨٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن نمير عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن عبد اللَّه ابن عبد اللَّه قال: كان ابن عمر يبعث بصبيانه ليلة المزدلفة، (فيصلون) (١) الصبح بمنى ويرمون الجمرة (قبل) (٢) أن يأتي الناس (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) sent the children on the night of Muzdalifah; they performed the Fajr prayer in Mina and stoned the Jamarat before the people arrived.
Hadith 14290
١٤٢٩٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن أبي (الزناد) (١) أن ابن عوف كان (يصلي) (٢) بأمهات المؤمنين الفجر بمنى (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Awf performed the Fajr prayer in Mina with the Mothers of the Believers g.
