Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) in a marfu’ form that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A person in the state of ihram should not wear clothes dyed with wars or dyed with saffron.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) disliked for a male or female in the state of Ihram to wear clothes dyed with saffron or dyed in yellow color. However, if they have been washed, then there is no harm.

Hazrat Umar forbade the use of cloth dyed with wars or cloth dyed with saffron for a person in the state of ihram.

Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Tawus, and Hazrat Mujahid disliked clothes dyed with 'araq for a person in the state of ihram ('araq is a yellow herb with a very fine fragrance and taste, and it is also used in food).

Hazrat Ata disliked clothing dyed yellow for the Muhrim.

Hasan disliked that a person in the state of ihram (muhrim) should wear a yellow-colored garment.

Hazrat Musa bin Ubaidah says that I saw Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz going to people's houses and residences, forbidding them from (using) the yellow color.

Hazrat Ata disliked the use of sheets dyed in yellow color during the sacred months.
