Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would emphasize greatly upon an oath, he would say: No, by Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Abu Al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the oath which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take was this: "No, by the One Who turns the hearts."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the oath of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was: "No, and I seek forgiveness from Allah."

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Aswad narrates from his father that I was sitting with Hazrat Ibn Masood on the roof of a house when the sun began to set. Hazrat Abdullah said: By Him besides whom there is no deity, this is the time when the fasting person breaks his fast.

Hazrat Abbad bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was delivering a sermon and he said: No, by the One Who split the grain and created the living being.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: No, by the Lord of this Ka'bah.

Hazrat Ziyad al-Harithi narrates that a person asked Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), "Are you the one who has prohibited fasting on Friday?" He replied, "No, by the Lord of this Sacred Sanctuary," or he said, "by the Lord of this Ka'bah."

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Yazid narrates that Hazrat Abdullah used to swear in this way: By Him besides whom there is no deity.

Hazrat Masruq narrates that when Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) would swear an oath upon something, she would say: "No, by Him in whom the believers have believed and the disbelievers have denied."

It is narrated from Hazrat Rifa’ah al-Juhani that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take an oath, he would say: By Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad.
